LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sarah Paulson is still smitten by her girlfriend Holland Taylor, even after spending over seven years together. In her recent appearance on Chelsea Handler’s 'Dear Chelsea' podcast on Thursday, August 31, she talked at length about the ‘Two and a Half Men’ alum.
"I think she’s the smartest, wisest, funniest, most extraordinary person I've ever met,” said Paulson, 48, about her 80-year-old partner.

Paulson praised Holland, saying, "So I can't imagine not being with her. I just can't. I just feel very, very lucky to be around someone so incredibly witty and funny and smart and, I think, incredibly sexy."
"I find her to be the most beautiful woman. I tell her all the time, like, she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and she always will be," gushed Paulson.
The ‘American Horror Story’ star pointed out that Taylor often helps her calm down. "[She] sort of pulls me out of my tendency to be anxious or sort of hysterical in doubting my own abilities. And she's sort of constantly reminding me of how capable I am."
Paulson has been dating Holland since 2015, and she can’t even recall how it all started. The 48-year-old said, "She's constantly saying to me, 'Why are you with me? Why are you doing this? What are you doing? You're a very strange person,'" Paulson quipped. "She says all the time, 'You're very strange for doing this.' And I'm like, 'Really? Is it? I don't know.'"
How did COVID-19 strengthen their bond?
The two had met before 2015, but it wasn’t a romantic connection back then. Their relationship sparked when Taylor reportedly slid into Paulson's DMs and confirmed in a November 2015 interview that she was, in fact, was dating a younger woman, as per Insider.
The bond between the two women further strengthened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Paulson and Taylor got to spend more time together as Hollywood ground to a halt and the pace of life slowed down considerably.
"Of course, Sarah and I didn't need to be brought closer together. We have a very tight, close relationship within each other's thoughts," Holland Taylor told People in 2020.
"We share everything that's going on. Both of us normally have to travel for work, have constantly been filming, always leaving a bag halfway packed in the foyer at our house.”
Recalling Sandra Bullock’s birthday party, where she was joined by Paulson and Jennifer Aniston, Taylor said, “We all stayed six feet apart outside and just shared our gratitude at all we have and that we got to see each other."
