LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie is reportedly living a ‘very lonely’ life years after her rocky divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt. The former couple, who first met in 2003 while playing husband and wife in ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’, filed for divorce in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
The ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ star made a rare appearance at President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden’s White House state dinner in honor of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. Jolie attended the momentous event with her 21-year-old son Maddox but mostly declined to interact with the press, which came as no surprise. For the star-studded event, the brunette beauty adorned a beige vintage Chanel gown which she accessorized with a gorgeous pearl necklace and earrings. She also sported a bright red lip and wore her hair down in soft curls.

'She has almost no one left'
The ‘Salt’ star didn't say much to the media during the White House dinner, although she did mention her children briefly. "They’re the best friends I’ve ever had. Nobody has ever stood by me more,” Jolie said, according to Geo TV. Reflecting on the rare appearance, a source told In Touch Weekly, “It’s been a while since she’s been in front of so many cameras. Angie has kept to herself more than ever." The tipster also claimed that Jolie hasn't stepped out much since her heartbreaking divorce from her ex-husband Pitt in 2016, as per OK Magazine.
Before their split, Jolie and Pitt were together for 14 years and shared six children: Maddox, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 16, Knox, 14, and Vivienne, 14. Following her tumultuous divorce, the ‘Wanted’ star resigned from her post as United Nations special envoy, which she had held for decades. "She’s cut out people she’s worked with for years and no longer speaks to any family other than her kids. She has almost no one else left. Her life is very lonely," the insider dished, adding that the mom-of-six has yet to re-enter the dating scene after her divorce seven years ago.
'Her light has really dimmed'
"Her dating life has all but vanished," they shared, adding, "I am sure she misses companionship.” Despite the many years alone, the insider believes Jolie is "not eager to commit herself fully again." "Angie used to have such a vibrant, adventurous spirit, but her light has really dimmed in the past few years," they noted. "Hopefully in time she’ll be open to dating and having fun again. Her kids just want to see her be truly happy,” the tipster continued. Jolie never had many friends, to begin with. Previously, while she was with Brad Pitt, the actor revealed that her then-husband was the only one she talked to. "I don’t have a lot of friends," she said back in 2011.
