NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gigi Hadid has spoken out against the attacks on Israel by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of at least 1,400 Israelis and Palestinians.
As part of the 'Free Palestine' movement, the supermodel, whose father Mohamed is Palestinian, condemned the "terrorizing of innocent people" on Instagram and sent love and support to her friends who are Jewish and Palestinian.
Gigi wrote, "My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict - too many of which are children. I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it's a responsibility I hold daily."
"I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person," she added.
Israel conducted retaliatory strikes against Hamas after the group launched a series of bombings on October 7, killing over 1,000 people in the region's worst escalation in decades.
The supermodel further continued, "The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with & does not do any good for the 'Free Palestine' movement. The idea that it does has fueled a painful, decades long cycle of back & forth retaliation (which no innocent civilian, Palestinian or Israeli, deserves to be a casualty of) and helps perpetuate the false idea that being Pro-Palestine = antisemitic."
"If you are hurting as I share my condolences today with my loves ones, both Palestinian and Jewish, I'm sending you my love and strength - whoever and wherever you are," said Gigi.
She ended her post writing, "There are a lot of complex, personal and valid feelings, but every human deserves basic rights, treatment and security; no matter their nationality, religion, ethnicity or where they were born. I know my words will never be enough or heal the deep wounds of so many, but I pray for the safety of innocent lives, always."
People took to Instagram to react to the news adding, "She's just trying not to get cancelled." While another user chimed in, "Who cares who she supports."
Some other user commented, "Tired of hearing what these celebs have to say if they not helping or pulling up to fight." A fourth user left emojis under the same post, "🤮🤮🤮🤮🐍🐍🐍."
One user also asked, "Who cares what she says ?? Or her sister ? They say anything who are they ? Models? So?"
Other rolled their eyes commenting, "Good cause I was really dying inside wondering how Gigi felt about the situation in the middle east. 🙄."
On her father,'s Instagram repost, people wrote, "Staying neutral in this situation is not an option. We understand you get threats from Zionists but as Palestinians with a big platform you need to 100 per cent be in support of Palestine."
Another person added, "She literally took both sides what a shame. free palestine."
Gigi Hadid’s father dubs Israeli PM ‘new Hitler of modern times’
Gigi's father has referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "the new Hitler of modern times," according to Fox News.
Another Instagram post shows Mohamed sharing an ABC News post claiming that "Israel cuts off Gaza in a 'total siege.'"
Mohamed offered his own perspective, labeling Netanyahu "the new Hitler."
"This was never about Hamas. This to create the new graveyard to 2.5 million Palestinians .. the new Hitler of modern times," he added.
Bella Hadid praised for getting Kylie Jenner to remove Israel support post
Kylie Jenner's longtime buddy Bella Hadid's 27th birthday will be an amazing occasion.
The internet celebrated the supermodel's birthday by congratulating her for being the alleged driving force behind the beauty mogul's removed post regarding Israel.
While the oldest of the renowned Hadid sisters had previously expressed her support for Palestinians, her companion had a different opinion.
On October 9, the runway queen turned 27, and her fans went to the X platform to criticize Kylie.
According to one social media user, "I just know that Bella Hadid came with the facts and lit her a-- up in the group chat."
Another conspiracy theorist shared a video showing a lady slamming a man to the ground, echoing similar sentiments about the companions.
This video was titled "Bella Hadid when she meets Kylie at the next Fashion Week."
It should be emphasized that fans feel Bella played a role in Kylie removing the post. This has not been confirmed by any of them.
