PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Despite numerous falls, the Ukrainian group Three G received a 'yes' from all four judges for their daring balancing act. Fans rushed to social media immediately after their performance aired to praise the trio's passion and panache.
Season 18 of 'America's Got Talent' is back, and the talent just keeps getting better. Legendary judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara return to the AGT stage as great artists from around the world compete. One act, Three G, traveled all the way from Ukraine to perform on the season premiere. The three women wanted to impress the judges with a daring balancing performance, and they succeeded, but a series of dangerous near misses nearly ended their audition
'I don't want to see it'
The ensemble performed gravity-defying feats and flexibility, producing a three-person high balancing act. The audience applauded, but the Judges prepared themselves for impact when the ladies became wobbly.
The act collapsed at numerous moments during their audition, bringing the judges to their feet in amazement and alarm. But, desperate to complete, the ladies assisted each other up and wiped themselves off before attempting yet another daring maneuver - flinging Eliana into the air and catching her.
As they proceeded to build another three-person high tower, this time with Eliana balanced on the soles of Lana's feet, Sofia anxiously said, "I don't want to see it."
Before crew personnel brought a big mat to the stage, the women put on a show-stopping performance. The act paused briefly, with Heidi and Howie observing that they appeared to be debating whether to do their next trick.
The women had previously accomplished an astounding achievement, yet they stumbled again. The music stopped, and the ladies calmed themselves before doing the final act one more time, this time without music.
"I can't watch this," stated Howie. "I can’t watch this, guys."
The judges urged the act to try again, asking the audience to refrain from applauding. However, the squad eventually succumbed for the final time.
'They did good!'
Fans took to Twitter to laud the group as one 'AGT' fan wrote, "They did good!! The girls felt like they failed the judges and audiences but were determined to still try and finish." Another chimed in, "They gave it their all! Great job ladies." One tweeted, "They were upset at themselves that they felt they failed the judges and audience. But they were determined to try and finish. Hope that young lady is ok, can't wait to see how they bounce back!" Wishing them luck, a fourth user wrote, "It really brought me to tears to look at the girl in blue pants face she was so hurt. And yes it happens but don't give up practice makes perfect. Good luck." One person also wrote, "What they did and tried to do is a lot harder than most watching have any clue about! 9/10." Another added, "My heart was in my throat the whole time. SPECTACULAR & TERRIFYING."
'America's Got Talent' Season 18 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on NBC.
