LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ comedy sports drama ‘Ted Lasso’ has reached its finale with only one episode left to conclude the character’s storyline. The recently released ultimate episode of ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 ends on a cliffhanger. While we expect Rebecca will drop another bomb at Ted as usual, Ted turns the tables when he reveals he has “something to say” to Rebecca.
In Episode 11, the theme of the episode was all about family grudges and reconciling with past issues. With Ted's mom's arrival, he is constantly worried but eventually makes up with her. However, in Episode 11 ‘Mom City’, Rebecca tells Ted that she has something to say but surprisingly, she can’t think of a single secret she’s been keeping from Ted. But guess what? This is where Ted smashes the bomb! This time, Ted has something to say to Rebecca. But what is it? Is he leaving AFC Richmond or is he secretly in love with Rebecca? Is Ted leaving AFC Richmond?
Following Ted’s arc from the opening of Season 3 to his last scene, it is not hard to understand that Ted was messed up and disturbed every part of the way and might be planning on going home back to America. After his divorce, he struggled to get past it and move on, which hugely affected his relationship with his son Henry. Henry misses his father who is in England. Moreover, after Ted met his mother, Dottie, who confronts him about her parental issues in the wake of his father’s death by suicide, Ted also admits that he’s afraid to get too close to Henry. Dottie consoles him and gives a pep talk about life, love, and parenting, conveying her main message that Henry misses Ted and needs his father. Moreover, the musical cues in Season 3 have hinted at Ted’s magical journey with AFC Richmond which suggests that it might be coming to an end. If this is true, then it explains why this might be the final season of ‘Ted Lasso’.
Is Ted secretly in love with Rebecca?
Even before Rebecca got the psychic reading, there have been several instances that follow the theory that the whole show is a romantic comedy about two lovers Ted and Rebecca finally admitting their love for each other.
