NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The executive producer of ‘The View’, Brian Teta, recently revealed on the show’s podcast ‘The View: Behind the Table’ that host Whoopi Goldberg does not want to celebrate on the Thanksgiving episode by eating a turkey.
The 47-year-old revealed Goldberg’s choice in one of the recent installments of the podcast, stating that she wants to celebrate Thanksgiving on ‘The View’ in a different way.
Teta discussed Goldberg’s choices with Ana Navarro on the show’s podcast, disclosing that she wants appetizers instead.
Brian Teta talks about Whoopi Goldberg’s choice of food for Thanksgiving
During the podcast, Teta sat down with ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro for a recap of the week.
At one point, their conversation steered towards the food they'd had on the show, which prompted Navarro to inquire about their upcoming Thanksgiving episode.
"What kind of turkey are we doing?" Navarro asked.
Teta then revealed their plan and noted that it was requested by Goldberg years earlier.
“So, this is interesting. Whoopi started this a long time ago," he began.
Teta then explained, “Obviously, our Thanksgiving show is not on Thanksgiving. It's the day before, and [Whoopi] doesn't want to eat turkey two days in a row, so instead of actually having turkey, we have appetizers.”
Navarro then gushed over how much she loved turkey before they moved on to another subject.
Goldberg joined the panel on The View in 2007 and has been moderating the talk show ever since.
Ana Navarro squashes rumors of Whoopi Goldberg’s retirement from ‘The View’
Goldberg’s co-host Navarro scoffed at the idea that the ‘Sister Act’ star will soon hang up her boots during an exclusive interview with The US Sun.
Navarro was asked who she thought would retire first: Goldberg or her other veteran co-host, Joy Behar.
“Oh hell...I think both of them are going to outlive me!" the TV star joked.
Goldberg had also commented on the rumors before being honored at the FGI Gala.
“I've done nothing but retire. I've been retired my whole career, so I kind of like that, yeah,” she had told The US Sun,
She had also added, "I have a contract. As long as I'm doing the contract, nobody's mad.”
