UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Elizabeth Evans, a female rock singer, was a perfect fit for 'The Voice' because her gruff vocals didn't match her little stature.
While her fears were still audible in her singing, John Legend's pitch was that he could help her focus on her skills as a vocalist and performer on stage.
Elizabeth, who described herself as a "shy person," was relieved to begin her performance of 'All I Wanted' without the coaches' gaze on her. However, that didn't last long once John and Reba McEntire sat down.
Reba expressed astonishment at hearing such a powerful voice emerge from someone so small, and vowed to assist her in learning how to better engage with her audience when she performs.
Elizabeth Evans picks Team John Legend to advance in 'The Voice' Season 24
There were some fascinating moments throughout this Nashville collegian's performance, but there were also enough pitching issues to create the idea that fans would be transformed into a baseball game. Memorable appearance — sort of "severe cotton candy" — less memorable performance.
Perhaps, as John speculated, she'd be more striking with a better-planned number.
John described Elizabeth's voice as "cool," and said it was the big note that drew him in, but he'll help her organize her vocals to make them work better. Elizabeth chose Team Legend out of the two options.
