NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ chief meteorologist Ginger Zee added a new twist to her Halloween celebration by sharing a small clip of herself and her family completely dressed in costumes for the occasion, all while acting for the camera.
The 42-year-old donned the costume of a corpse bride while her husband, Ben Aaron went as Jack Skellington, the protagonist of the 1993 film ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’
Zee’s children — Adrian and Miles were dressed as Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice in the clip.
‘GMA’ host Ginger Zee shares bizarre family clip for Halloween
The ‘GMA’ star seemed to have donned her acting cap for Halloween. Zee alongside her husband Aaron shot a spooky Halloween video at her house with her two sons.
The brief clip begins with a shot of an abandoned house in the dark, at the top of a hill, and then moves on to a dinner scene where Zee and Aaron, dressed in their respective Halloween costumes are arguing over their food.
Zee was wearing a blue wig with flowers attached to it. Her face was powdered as she fit herself into a white dress.
She described the meal to Aaron in a low baritone as he mimicked the traits of his character. Adrian appeared to be struggling to eat his food since he was playing the role of Edward Scissorhands while Miles appeared after a brief while as Beetlejuice.
The family of four then broke into a bizarre dance, staying in character and embodying the spirit of Halloween.
The song playing in the background was 'Day-O' ('Banana Boat Song') by Harry Belafonte.
The clip comes across as a parody of a dinner scene from 'The Addams Family' but with a humourous touch from the ‘GMA’ star.
After posting the clip on her Instagram, Zee reminded her followers that she made the video to put smiles on everyone’s faces.
She captioned the video, “Taking our family Halloween to a new level this year. The world can be so upsetting, so scary… hope this can bring you a smile. Masterful edit always @benaarontv."
