LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Robert De Niro's 45-year-old girlfriend Tiffany Chen is described as a "non-sense character" who rules the home, according to sources who revealed that he is no match for her. The 79-year-old actor welcomed his seventh child, his first with Chen in May.
"I just had a baby. It's an amazing feeling, you know? It's like starting all over again. But that's all I can say. I don't want to give too much away," he said following the news of his seventh child's birth broke out. The source shared that the mother of De Niro's two-month-old daughter Gia has made him take up diaper duty and has him serving all the household needs since they welcomed their newborn child, reported Radar Online.
'She’s got him eating out of the palm of her hand'
According to the outlet, the legendary thespian who is set to commit to many projects in the future will be taking Chen and Gia to the shoots. "Bob’s constantly working, but Tiffany often accompanies him on location — and now they’ll have the baby with them," stated a source.
"Tiffany may seem meek in public, but behind the scenes, she’s got him eating out of the palm of her hand. He’s always gone for women who are feisty, dignified, and smart. She’s the boss of him. But anyone can see he’s happy," the source added.
De Niro has two children with his first wife and Taxi castmate, Diahnne Abbott, twin sons with his ex and model Toukie Smith, and two more with his ex-wife and former flight attendant, Grace Hightower with whom he had a bitter divorce in 2021 after 21-years of marriage.
De Niro is excited to be a father again
An insider told the outlet that the 'Godfather' father legend is excited about his fatherhood. "Bob rarely shows emotion in public, but his friends will tell you he’s very excited to be a dad again — even at his age. He plans on being hands-on with the new baby," said the source.
"Bobby’s not totally soured on marriage, though you think he would be because of Grace. But Tiffany is safe and sweet and kind, and she doesn’t feel inhibited by their age difference. She’s really great for him and he can see it," the source added.
De Niro's troublesome marriage to Hightower has not stopped him from being positive about solidifying his relationship with Chen. In the actor's legal battle with an ex-employee named Graham Robinson, Chen was involved and her communication with De Niro was requested. The case is still underway.
