LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As a franchise, 'Spider-Man' has seen some of the greatest highs, and with ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, this will only continue. After each movie's release, one can’t help but pick their favorite. Just like everyone else, Tom Holland has done the same. Holland is best known for his work as the popular character Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, and although he has moved on to playing the role of a criminal in ‘The Crowded Room’, his roots and heart remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Holland has picked his favorite movie out of the 'Spider-Man' franchise, and it doesn’t star him, talk about being humble! It’s a tough choice to have to choose between Tobey Maguire's, Andrew Garfield's, or the most recent Shameik Moore’s 'Spider-Verse' movies. Holland has a plethora of movies to pick from, but which one made it to the top of his list?
Tom Holland’s Spidey pick
As Tom Holland promoted his upcoming Apple TV+ series ‘The Crowded Room’, he discussed ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ and his favorite Spider-Man movie with The Associated Press. The actor revealed, “I think the first Spider-Verse movie is the best Spider-Man movie ever made. I’m so proud of everyone involved. Amy Pascal is like my mom. I was supposed to go with her as her date, I couldn’t go because I’m here working. But I’m incredibly proud of them, I’m excited for the second one. I’m sure it will live up to every expectation, and I can’t wait to see it.”
As Holland recalls his favorite Spider-Man movie, one can’t help but wonder if his answer will change after he watches the sequel of ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ which is titled ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’.
Will Tom Holland make a cameo in the latest movie?
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ shocked the fans with four live-action cameos. Starting with Peggy Lu and Donald Glover, the movie also showed a glimpse of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire from their previous movies. These cameos were only recycled clips but caused a wave of shock and excitement nevertheless. However, despite Maguire and Garfield being in it, Holland was missing. Could that change Holland’s outlook on Spider-Verse altogether? Only time will tell!
