The planned new map may be arriving sooner than anticipated thanks to a Warzone 2 leak, which provided fans an extremely early glimpse at what to expect from it. The addition of Ashika Island at the start of Season 2 gave Warzone 2 a whole new setting. Although the Japanese-themed map received accolades from the community, it hasn't quite reached the same heights as WZ1's Rebirth Island.
The first new Resurgence map after Fortunes Keep's introduction in June 2022 was Ashika Island. Prior to the release of CoD 2023, WZ2 gamers may anticipate at least one new area to discover.

Vondel map image
The renowned Call of Duty leakers 'TaskForceLeak' announced in April that the next Warzone 2 location is named Vondel, a Resurgence map located in the Netherlands. There was no projected release date found in the data mine, but on May 10 rumors got louder. The first photograph of Vondel was leaked. CharlieIntel acknowledged that the DMCA caused the Tweet to be removed.
The incomplete picture doesn't reveal all that much. However, it looks like the map is placed in a city. Near a river, there is a neighborhood and a windmill. In comparison to Al Mazrah's arid environment, this would offer a very different experience.
New map release date
“Vondel is not the Warzone map for this fall, it’s releasing sooner,” CharlieIntel claimed. Based on historical precedent from past releases, Warzone 2 maps often debut around the beginning of a new season. Season 4, which is anticipated to start on June 14, 2023, will be Activision's next opportunity to release Vondel.
When Activision offers additional information regarding the most recent sandbox for the battle royale sequel, there will be an update.
