As the narrative begins, Henry is sad at home for unclear reasons when he receives a call from his actress girlfriend Rosemary, who tells him she's coming over to help him with the screenplay he's writing. Shortly after, we see Henry casting 'Lost Boy Of South Fork,' a personal project about his background, and determining that Rosemary, a lady he's just met, should play the female lead — and that he should play the male lead.
In real life, the two fall in love, while in the present, Henry and Rosemary enter a dreamlike universe in which they lie on a beach at night, watching TVs that display images from their past while filming 'Lost Boy Of South Fork.'
