LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Fast X’ starring Vin Diesel is hitting the theaters on May 19, 2023. However, the 'Fast & Furious' star has a complicated past and was born Mark Sinclair.
The ‘Pitch Black’ star who was born in 1967, did not know his biological father, CNN reports. He along with his brother Paul Vincent was raised by their mother Delora Sherleen Vincent, an astrologer, and by African-American adoptive father Irving H Vincent, a drama instructor. His mother is Italian-American with German and Scottish ancestry.

'I’m the first multicultural megastar in Hollywood'
“I don’t know what I am. . . .I’m a combination of many things,” Diesel says in the book Mixed Race Hollywood. He also made it clear that he didn’t know his biological father as he said, “I never knew my biological father. I’ve always had less information that [sic] I would have liked to have had,” the ‘XXX’ actor said.
He also added, “All I know from my mother is that I have connections to many different cultures.” his stepfather’s influence on him is undoubtedly huge as he said, “The man who raised me is black. Culturally he made me who I am. He was a theatre director so he guided me artistically.”
Diesel, who boasts of multiple ethnicities from his mother’s side, once told USA Today about him being the “first multicultural megastar of Hollywood,” “I’m the first multicultural megastar in Hollywood. They didn’t exist.”

The moniker with which the action movie superstar entered Hollywood has two distinct origins.
