KANSAS, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce had to pay up on a friendly bet as he donned the Iowa State Cyclones mascot headpiece during a press conference on Friday, October 20 leaving the attendees surprised.
The University of Cincinnati alum briefly wore the headgear after he lost a bet to an Iowa State alum and Kansas City Chiefs vice-president of football communications Brad Gee.
The outcome of the game was not in Kelce's favor as Iowa State dominated Cincinnati on Saturday, October 21, with a final score of 30-10, according to the New York Post.

Speaking to reporters at the press conference after he took off the headgear, the NFL star said, "Yeah, another little friendly wager. Unfortunately, my Bearcats are struggling right now in the Big 12."
"I was gonna give Cincinnati a call and figure it out on the run," he added.

At the press conference, Kelce also talked about his Taylor Swift's romance as one reporter asked him if he had any suggestions for couples and fans to dress like him and the musician for Halloween.
"I'll tell you what, man that stash and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit," said Kelce.
"I had it when I met Taylor for the first time so I guess just my stash... Maybe a bracelet or something?," he added.

Kelce and Swift appeared together on the Saturday Night Live premiere on October 14.
The 34-year-old footballer appeared in a sketch poking fun at the media attention following their outings while the 'Love Story' singer introduced the musical guest, Ice Spice.
"Man, it was it was funny. Obviously didn't know what was going to what was going to go down and just decided to hit SNL last second," said Kelce.
"They asked me if I wanted to kind of in the skit that was about me and Taylor's takeover of the NFL games, which was hilarious. I loved every bit of it," he added.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end candidly admitted that his SNL cameo was such a whirlwind experience that he "doesn’t even remember saying anything."
"I hope I read the card, right? I was laughing my tail off during the skit. The electricity, just the energy from the crowd and just being up there. It felt like I was hosting it all over again," he joked.

After Kelce's appearance at the press conference in the giant bird mascot, netizens rallied to comment on him, continuing to attract media attention.
