UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Once more, Reba McEntire's distribution of tater tots on NBC took up more time than the audition itself. Fans only truly learned that Crystal Nicole has a really loud voice from the sample they saw, and the queen of the one-chair turns on 'The Voice' Season 24 liked it.
The audition of this raucous vocalist, whom Reba believed was "powerful" in her on-the-nose performance of Rihanna's dance-pop song "Only Girl (In the World)," was reduced for time.
On YouTube, fans complained, "i would’ve loved to hear “only girl in the world” as a full performance." Another person chimed in, "How they montage the women who wrote the song she sang ? And I’m talking about Crystal she wrote that song and gets montaged ? That’s insane." Others noted, "whaaaat? I don't believe that!!!! Just a minuts for Crystal? where the full performance???? She is amazing man!" A fourth user pleaded, "WE WANNA WATCH CRYSTAL NICOLE PLEASEEEE."
One user also commented under the short clip, "Why'd you montage Crystal Nicole when she's singing one of the songs she helped writing and won a Grammy for? Montage one of the 0 chair turns tf." Another person asked, "Who chose these MONTAGES WHAT?!!! The only girl in the world audition whatttt. So unfair we need the full auditions."

Crystal has been writing music for Monica, Brandy, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and others behind the scenes for numerous years. With a new record contract, the Atlanta native is following in the footsteps of Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo by shifting from composer to musician.
Earlier this year, Crystal received a Grammy Award for her work on Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)," which appeared on the 'Loud' album. Crystal enters the spotlight after studying the business and working with award-winning musicians and producers, with the release of her first single, "Pinch Me." She is leveraging her artistic profession to raise awareness about the necessity of having a "voice against domestic violence."
'The Voice' Season 24 contestant Crystal Nicole has signed a new deal with Blackground/Interscope Records
Crystal is a rising songwriter who recently got a deal with Blackground/Interscope. Crystal, who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, became acquainted with music through her father's enormous record collection. Her success is the result of years of hard work and commitment. She initially rose to prominence with her blockbuster hit single "Only Girl" in 2014. She began creating songs at the age of nine, and by the age of twelve, she was already sharing her original stuff live. Furthermore, she polished her vocal and lyrical abilities as a teen while attending Temple University's Boyer College of Music & Dance.
Crystal has now gone on to compose for some of the R&B and hip-hop's greatest artists, including Ariana Grande, Jhene Aiko, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Brown. Her composition credits have won her several Grammy nominations, as well as honors from The Recording Academy, ASCAP, and BMI. With her new record contract, she is pushing things to the next level, giving herself more artistic freedom than ever before.
Crystal began her artistic adventure when she was 19 years old. She'd been creating songs since she was 11, so enrolling in classes at Berklee College of Music felt like the next logical step in honing her skill. It wasn't long before she caught the attention of producers seeking that particular something in their tracks, which led to many co-writing credits with big name performers like Usher and Trey Songz. But it was Crystal's own track "Only Girl" that really put her on the map, becoming an international hit overnight.
Crystal now has a loving daughter named, Haven Joy.
The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 9 pm ET.
