On June 28, Oseary made a post on his Instagram informing the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ singer was hospitalized after being found responsive on Jue 24. He wrote, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. required her to stay in the ICU for several days. He said, “Madonna is really turning it out. She is in incredible shape and is going to kill it with this tour.”
Talking about the significance of the tour, he further added, “It may be her last tour, so she wants to make it perfect. She is incredible shape and her body is sick. This is her labor of love. Her perfectionism is driving everyone up the wall but she does not care. The crew is working their a** off because everyone wants to make her happy. She has no issues whatsoever with firing someone at the drop of a hat.”
'He was always the voice of reason'
Previously in an interview with Variety, Madonna termed Oseary her “Ride or Die.” the Queen of Pop quipped, “I was always the adventurous, crazy one,” before adding about Oseary’s influence on her decision-making, “As soon as Guy would get a little look of fear in his eyes, I’d think it was a good idea. I would use him as a weathervane.”
When they first met, Oseary was just 18 and both of them were mischievous. However, Oseary slowly took the parental role as the ‘Material Girl’ singer said, “As the years went by, he took on a more of a parental role.”
Being the voice of reason, Oseary would also suggest she tone down elaborate staging during tours. As Madonna said, “He would try to get me to do less production because then I would have less overhead and make more money,” before adding, “He was always the voice of reason.”
