LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Olivia Thirlby is trending currently after her ‘Juno’ co-star Elliot Page disclosed some secrets from the hit film’s set. In his memoir titled ‘Pageboy’, the transgender star stated that he had sex with the actress “all the time” while they shot the coming-of-age comedy-drama movie, which was released in 2007.
Page, who was earlier known as Ellen, penned down in his book, as reported by Page Six, “I was taken aback the moment I saw Olivia Thirlby. She seemed so much older, capable, and centered. Sexually open, far removed from where I was at the time. But the chemistry was palpable, it pulled me in.”
The 36-year-old Canadian actor went on to reportedly claim that it was Thirlby who first confessed her feelings to him and then there was no stopping for them. “It was one of the first times someone would make me c-m, the first time I would open up,” Page revealed, before adding, “Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate. I didn’t see a glint of it in her eyes and I wanted that — done feeling wretched about who I am.”
Who is Olivia Thirlby's husband?
The 36-year-old actress is now a married woman and her husband is Jacques Pienaar. The two exchanged vows in 2014 after reportedly meeting each other during the filming of ‘Dredd’. As per reports, Pienaar works behind the camera and was involved in the sound department of television series like ‘Dice’, ‘Love, Victor’, and ‘Good Girls’.
In 2016, he took to Instagram to mark two years of his union with the ‘Above the Shadows’ star. Pienaar posted a photo of Thirlby and captioned it, “Married this jewel a year ago today happy #anniversary my darling wife. @missthirlby.” The actress also did not step away from expressing her love to her husband.
She shared a sweet picture of him and wrote, “Two years of mawwage to this handsome fool, my best friend, my adventure buddy, my brother, my boom&vortels, my favorite boyfriend, my everything. Thanks for keeping it weird with me baba. I love you so much🌲🕊.”
‘It's really important for people to be truthful about who they are’
However, a few years before her marriage, Thirbly came out as bisexual. In 2011, she told Brooklyn Magazine, “No one should have to hide their sexual orientation. Loving people is a necessary part of being human, and it is very difficult to love people in secret. It’s a horrible thing to force people to do.”
Besides, in 2012, for the new issue of InStyle magazine, Thirbly gave an interview, where she shared, “I don't believe that if I came out as bisexual the world will change. But it's really important for people to be truthful about who they are and fight for equality. We need to help the world usher itself into the next phase.”
