LOS ANGLES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is set to launch a new adult animated series titled 'Mulligan' on May 12 with a star-studded team of comedic talent behind it. Co-creators Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who previously worked on the hit show '30 Rock' and 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt', are the brains behind the show, which is also executive produced by their '30 Rock' and 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt collaborator, Tina Fey. 'Mulligan' takes inspiration from golf's mulligan rule, where players are allowed a second shot after a poor first one. The show's premise follows Earth's efforts to recover and learn from past mistakes after surviving an alien invasion but with a questionable leader at the helm.
Given the impressive track record of Carlock, Means, and Fey, along with an extravagant star cast as voice actors, 'Mulligan' is sure to be a hilarious and zany ride. The show adds to Netflix's expanding collection of successful adult animated series, including popular titles such as 'Big Mouth' and 'BoJack Horseman'. Nat Faxon
Nat Faxon, known for his work in 'Loot' and 'Gaslit', voices the show's protagonist, Matty Mulligan. Matty is a working-class hero from Boston who saved Earth from an alien invasion but finds himself overwhelmed as the leader of what's left of humanity. He's in love with Lucy and wants to win her over, but he must learn to think about others besides himself to do so.
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen plays Lucy Suwan, the de facto First Lady of the post-invasion world. She had a brief romance with Matty during the attack, but they have nothing in common. Despite being a beauty queen who believes in the America you see in beer commercials, Lucy wants to use her newfound influence to help fix the world.
Tina Fey
Tina Fey lends her voice to Dr Farrah Braun, a military super-scientist and single mother who's trying to "have it all" as a working mother. Unfortunately, she's often dismissed as just a "female scientist" in a world that doesn't value her expertise.
Daniel Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe plays King Jeremy, the party-boy son of an English Lord who was working in the British Embassy when the aliens attacked. Everyone in America thinks he's smart because of his accent, and he declares himself King when he realizes he's the last surviving British citizen.
Sam Richardson
Sam Richardson plays Simon Prioleau, the only surviving historian and one of Matty's top advisers. Despite being considered a useless nerd by Matty, Simon is eager to save what's left of human history before it disappears and reinvents himself as a confident cool guy.
Dana Carvey
Dana Carvey voices Senator Cartwright LaMarr, the self-appointed Vice President who's anxious to rebuild everything the way it was when guys like him were in power. However, he's forced to deal with both Matty's apathy and Lucy's empathy to govern as he sees fit.
Phil LaMarr
Phil LaMarr, best known for his work in WhoFuturama and Mad TV, voices Axatrax, a dignified general and the only alien survivor of the invasion who's now a prisoner of the humans who defeated him and an unlikely shoulder to cry on for Matty.
Ayo Edebiri
Ayo Edebiri voices General Scarpaccio/Jayson Moody, a Marine general who found his uniform on a corpse and put it on. He's now the head of the Joint Chiefs and gets to do cool stuff like shoot guns and fly helicopters.
