LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In 2018, Netflix stunned the world with its original movie ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ and made viewers realize that the aforementioned streaming platform is all about bringing unique stories to the small screen. The film became so successful that Netflix turned it into a franchise and came forward with two more movies that were equally loved by viewers. But the story isn’t over and the streamer is set to take on another magical journey with the spin-off series ‘XO, Kitty’.
Based on the aforementioned movie franchise, the spin-off series primarily focuses on Kitty (Anna Cathcart) who, much like her older sister is eagerly waiting for her prince charming. Fortunately, she comes in a long-distance relationship with a Korean guy named Dae (Choi Min Young). But she didn’t want to have romance on Facetime and decided to take admission to a Korean school. However, when she reached the school, she realized that Dae already has a girlfriend there and was happy with her. Her world starts to crumble and she embarks on a journey to get out of these circumstances and know more about her family’s heritage.

Who stars in ‘XO, Kitty’?
Anna Cathcart as Kitty
Born on June 16, 2003, Anna Cathcart is a Canadian actress who began her acting career with the 2016 children’s series ‘Odd Squad’. She made her feature film debut in the same year with ‘Odd Squad: The Movie’. She continued to play pivotal roles in TV shows and TV movies such as ‘Descendants 2’, ‘Dino Diana’, and ‘Once Upon a Time’.
However, her first major acting role in a feature film happened in 2018 when ‘To All the Boys I’ve Ever Loved’ was released on Netflix. Since then, she hasn’t looked back and made appearances in titles such as ‘Fast Layne’, ‘Descendants 3’, ‘Spin’, and ‘Star Wars: Visions’.
Choi-min Yeong as Dae-heon Kim
The acclaimed South Korean actor needs no introduction. Choi-min Yeong has been a part of several high-end projects over the years and made his acting debut in 2014. He is known for his role as a child actor in the 2016 revenge series ‘The Promise’ and the 2022 coming-of-age TV series ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’ as Baek Yi-hyun.
‘XO, Kitty’ will be Young’s first American project.
Other actors to feature in the series include Anthony Keyvan (Quincy Shabazian), Gia Kim (Yuri Han), Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Yunjin Kim (Principal Jina Lim), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Regan Aliya (Juliana), and Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee).
‘XO, Kitty’ will premiere on Netflix on May 18th, 2023.
