EUNICE, LOUISIANA: '90 Day Fiance' star Amanda Wilhelm was reportedly arrested on charges of general battery in 2010 after she assaulted another woman who allegedly hit her with a bat.
InTouch confirmed that Wilhelm ran into trouble with the law long before her debut on the TLC show. She was 19 at the time of her arrest. The woman who attacked Wilhelm was identified as Kayla Patton.

According to InTouch, the incident took place in Bay County, Florida, on August 27, 2010. Wilhelm, accompanied by a man named Jeremiah Means, allegedly went up to Patton and "repeatedly and intentionally" struck her, followed by wrestling her down to the ground.
As a result of this violence, Patton sustained abrasions on her left knee and also on both of her elbows. She was also left bleeding, according to a court report dated October 12, 2010.
Means allegedly assisted Wilhelm by holding down Patton, while she continued hitting her and wrestling her against her will on her property.

The TLC star alleged that she had acted in self-defense. She alleged that she and Means were driving home before they stopped by Patton's house to make amends for a "bad situation."
Wilhelm alleged she had seen Patton and another woman walking down the road several blocks away from their home and that Patton was carrying a red baseball bat.
Wilhelm claimed she tried her best to defend herself against Patton's alleged attack with the bat in the driveway of Patton's house. She further alleged that she did not notice the baseball bat.
