'It's just some c**k s**t'
During a live stream, xQc shared his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the iDubbbz apology video. xQc said, “I had a philosophical take about it because I really, I took... I zoomed out and I realized that if that's something you need from people, then you should have every creator apologize for almost all of their videos that were uploaded in times of 2012 to 2020. Pretty much, almost all the uploads. All of the old skits and you want them to apologize for every single one of their videos. All of them."
xQc shared, “My take is that... I think doing the apology or not... I think it's kind of fine, either way. And I think that's about it. I think that's the way he wants to direct his s**t and do whatever his thing, it is what it is." Sharing his views on the online community xQc said, "How they want to deal with the future is up to them. If they want to apologize, sure. If they don't want to, I think that's also fine. I think, if you need an apology from everybody, it's a disaster! It means that... it's just some c**k s**t. That's fine. That's what I think about it. There you go."
From the viewpoint of xQc, it's understandable why he chose not to lean on either the positive or negative side of the apology video. But his viewers had quite conflicting reactions regarding his stance.
'Hope xQc has more philosophical takes'
One of the YouTube users commented, “I sure hope xQc has more philosophical takes.” Another said, “Holy s**t, we really needed a take from a well delivered apology video and from moving forward knowing what you did in the past was wrong. My mind EXPANDED.” Yet another user wrote, “Much better take in 50 seconds, than Charlie that he did for two 20 min videos."
Another wrote, “I think if idubbz didnt had the bad interactions from his fans he met irl , he wouldnt be this hard on himself . His fans must have made him cringe out and felt embarassed in public like saying the n word while asking for a photo or chanting the n word out loud to root for him.” One YouTube user said, “I thought it was just another apology video. I didn't expect people to lose their minds like this.”
