LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'X Men' original ensemble, including Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, is said to be joining Ryan Reynolds in the next 'Deadpool 3' film. The superhero film, a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is scheduled for release on November 8, 2024. The 'Deadpool 3' cast is rumored to also include Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden, who played Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops, respectively, in The X-Men.
The 'X-Men' actor, who will return to the character of Wolverine, once told Reynolds's wife Blake Lively that she was a saint for marrying her while also praising her for her launching Betty Buzz, a nonalcoholic mixer.
'You're a saint for marrying that man'
"We love every flavor, some of us even like it with a little nip added. But more importantly, we love the woman who created it, Blake Lively. You are a one-of-a-kind, Blake," Jackman said in a video on Instagram before adding "You are just fun, you are creative, you are sunshine seven days a week, and you're a saint for marrying that man. Sorry... not sorry."
'He's an evil person'
Reynolds jokingly told Jackman's wife Deborra-Lee Furness once to "hang in there" as he celebrated his 24th anniversary. Even when Jackman planned sages with Reynold, he claimed he tries vengeance not to consume him. “I try to limit it to five hours a day, planning retribution. I’ve found in the past that it just gets unhealthy if it’s more than five hours of obsessing over how to get Ryan Reynolds. But five hours is good and healthy and keeps me strong and ready,” Jackman joked.
Reynolds also took a jab at Jackman by stating "He's an evil person," on Today Show Australia back in 2019. “I mean, you guys have all been duped. You think he’s this benevolent ambassador to your country. People don’t realize he’s from Winnipeg, Canada. Truth hurts sometimes, it makes your eyes water. Hugh Jackman’s a fraud!” The comments were made after Jackman photoshopped himself into one of the movie posters of 'Free Guy'. “A small edit to make this a much better promotional tool,” Jackman wrote then.
How did the years of unending feud start?
Until then it had been almost five years since they were involved in the playful feud and Jackman once couldn't remember how it started, but then went on to explain in an interview with Daily Beast that it was Scarlett Johansson. Reynolds and Scarlett were married from 2008 to 2011.
“How did it start? It’s gone back so long now… God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don’t even know why or how it started!” Jackman joked. Then he went on to explain the feud, “I met him back on Wolverine, and I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I’m watching,’ and we started ribbing each other that way, and then it all escalated with the 'Deadpool' thing and him calling me out, and trying to manipulate me through social media to do what he wanted."
