LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: TikTok’s most successful creator and the youngest member of the D’Amelio family, Charli, is not shying away from talking about her personal and professional relations.
During a recent episode of ‘The D’Amelio Show’, Charli referred to her family as ‘leeches’ when they accompanied her on a work trip to Japan. During the trip, she also emphasized traveling with her boyfriend, Landon Barker.
What did Charli D’Amelio say?
During an episode of ‘The D’Amelio Show’ released on Wednesday, October 11, Charli said, “No one, not one person, helped me get this commercial, but they want to go to Japan; nice to know your priorities.”
19-year-old Charli shared that her sister, Dixie D’Amelio, made it clear that she, their father, Marc D’Amelio, and mother, Heidi D’Amelio, were just “tagging along like leeches."
“I love being a nepo sister,” Dixie chimed during the trip.
Charli hit back, saying, “I like that you guys pick and choose what you come to of mine.” Adding more context, Charli, the official ambassador of the Tamagotchi Uni, was joined by video creator Kemio to film the toy brand's promotional video.
She stated, “It was definitely very different than what I was used to, especially being on a set with a language barrier. They made it so incredibly easy for me and made me feel comfortable. It was actually probably one of the most stress-free shoots I’ve done.”
She further said, “There was no time where I felt uncomfortable. I was just so excited and got to wear a cute outfit and do my hair and makeup. Also, play with the Tamagotchi all day.”
Charli D’Amelio would choose Landon Barker for a trip
The internet personality and creator of D’Amelio footwear highlighted that despite being “very stressed” out by “having to put in all of the time and energy” to “uphold a family business,” Charli still has a great deal of “love” for her family.
After returning from Japan, Charli was bound by her boyfriend, Landon Barker, for a confessional. Since Landon would have attended all her work-related commitments, Charli acknowledged that she preferred to have him along on the trip.
“Instead, no one came to work with me,” Charli added. Off camera, Dixie entered the conversation, revealing that they “weren’t allowed to” go to the Japan shoot.
