ATLANTA, GEORGIA: In a star-studded event with several political figures honoring the late first lady Rosalynn Carter, country crooner Garth Brooks took center stage not just for his musical talents but for his extended kiss-and-greet session that left the Internet buzzing.
As Brooks made his rounds, exchanging air kisses like a pro, the internet couldn't help but notice one glaring difference in his approach to three prominent ladies in attendance, namely, former First Ladies, Michelle Obama and Melania Trump, and the current US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The country icon Brooks, along with his musical partner Trisha Yearwood, was there to perform a heartwarming rendition of John Lennon's 'Imagine' to pay tribute to the late Rosalynn, who died on November 19, at age 96.
The commemorative ceremony occurred at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, situated on the grounds of Emory University in Atlanta.
The location is a little over a two-hour journey from the iconic residence Rosalynn once shared with her husband, former US President Jimmy Carter, who was also present at the memorial service on Tuesday, November 28.
The event brought together a constellation of political stars, including Dr Jill Biden, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush.

However, the highlight of the evening was when former First Lady Michelle Obama received a tight side hug and a cheek-to-cheek air kiss from the affable singer. Brooks, always the gentleman, seemed to be playing a friendly tune with his greetings.
But then, in walked Melania Trump, and the notes got distinctly chillier. A handshake was in order, and when it came to the cheek kiss, it was strictly a "no-touching" affair. The internet erupted in laughter as they observed the subtle yet distinct shift in Brooks' greeting style.
As if choreographed, the comedic highlight of the evening came when Vice President Kamala entered the scene. Brooks pulled her into a sweet and tight hug, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
