It has been revealed that Cliff Richard does have a photograph with Elvis Presley after all, following the singer’s bizarre fat-shaming comments about the legendary performer. Controversy arose earlier this week when Richard appeared on ITV’s This Morning and revealed he had declined the opportunity to meet and have a picture taken with the music icon Elvis because he had “put on a lot of weight”. It turned out that moment was the last opportunity Richard would get to have a photo with Elvis, as the singer died shortly afterwards in 1977. But, despite turning down the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the King of Rock and Roll because of his weight gain, it appears it didn’t stop Richard from getting a painting of the two of them together commissioned. A picture with apparent proof was hilariously shared by comedian and broadcaster Jon Holmes on X/Twitter, who claimed in the caption: “See, #cliffrichard actually *does* have a painting of him with (thin) #Elvis in his house. “A painting that he commissioned despite them never having met. I know this because we recorded a programme there some years back.” In the painting, which looks to be hanging above a piano, the two singers can be seen on stage performing together, with Richard singing into his microphone while a trim-looking Elvis stands alongside him. Holmes added: “Note how Cliff is taking the vocals, while Elvis stands watching in awe.” The revelation caused quite a stir as people poked fun at Richard’s apparent fatphobia. Someone commented: “The plot thicccckens, obsessed with (thin) Elvis. What’s wrong with this guy?” Another mocked: “The plot thickens! By now you are probably aware that the Barbie movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has been a massive success at the box office, smashing all kinds of records and reducing men to nervous wrecks. Yes, the inevitable has happened where a pro-female movie has angered so many men that they just have to tell everyone about how much a movie about a doll upset them. We've had the likes of Piers Morgan and plenty of men on IMDB but one man who has made it his personal mission to tell the world how much he hated Barbie is Ben Shapiro. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The outspoken conservative commentator first spoke out against Greta Gerwig's widely acclaimed film on Saturday in a 43-minute rant on YouTube where he called the film a "s**tshow" and one of the "worst movies ever." He also burned a Barbie and Ken doll. The 39-year-old, who mostly objected to the "smug" message of the film was promptly roasted for his scorching hot take and as a result felt compelled to make another video about how badly he was treated because of his views. In the second view shared on Tuesday, titled "Barbie Is Garbage, But You’re Not Allowed To Say So," Shapiro spent 20 minutes of a 1-hour video talking about the reaction to his reaction to the movie. Elsewhere he attacked Gerwig for promoting a new religious worldview and for the movie for pushing "left-wing propaganda." These are all valid points if you subscribe to Shapiro's politics but he wasn't done there. In a third video, Shapiro collaborated with a regular contributor of his and fellow conservative commentator Brett Cooper, who did enjoy the movie. This debate is for 30 minutes and if you enjoy this sort of format for a video then they both make valid point depending on how much you enjoyed the movie. If he makes another 30 minute video on the film he'll have spoken about it longer than the actual length of Barbie, which is quite an achievement. Dolly Parton has spoken about her surprising connection to none other than Keanu Reeves. The legendary singer made history as the first female country artist to appear on the cover of Playboy in 1978 where she wore the iconic black bustier, bow tie and bunny ears. In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Dolly revealed the costume was actually made by Keanu Reeves's mother costume designer Patricia Taylor. And so Dolly has some memories of little Keanu who would tag along with his mum at work. “She did a lot of sewing for me. She did a lot of my clothes,” Dolly said. “I remember Keanu when he was just little, and she would bring him over to my house when we were fitting or when I would go to the shop where she worked.” Years later, Keanu Reeves would become a household name known for films such as Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Point Break, The Matrix, and John Wick and paid a visit backstage to one of Dolly's shows where he asked if she remembered him. “He said, ’Do you remember me? I’m the little boy that used to sit at your feet when my mum was [working],’” she recalled. “Of course I knew he had become a star. But it didn’t connect to me that that was who that was.” Keanu himself has spoken about his mum's working with Dolly when he appeared on Red Table Talk in 2021 where he confessed to wearing the Playboy outfit as a Halloween costume one (unspecified) year. “I put on the ears and the bustier,” he said. “I wore sneakers with fishnet stockings and the bowtie.
