NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star George Stephanopoulos’ wife Ali Wentworth recently re-shared a heartfelt post about holding your friends ‘tight.’
The 58-year-old shared a clip of her dear friend and actress, Brooke Shields’ acceptance speech at Glamour's 2023 Women Of The Year Awards.
In an emotional speech, Brooke addressed the audience and told them to “hold tight” to their female friends.
Ali Wentworth spreads importance of female friendships through an emotional clip
Ali recently attended a New York City gala where her friend Brooke's legacy was being celebrated.
After posing with Brooke on the red carpet, Ali stood near the stage to listen to Brooke’s heartwarming acceptance speech.
Brooke donned a sparkly dress and sported black-rimmed glasses.
During the speech, 'The Blue Lagoon' star broke into tears after choking up during her speech. The text written in the clip stated, "Keep watching the best interruption."
Ali and 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit' star Mariska Hargitay arrived on stage and attempted to console her.
The two wrapped their arms around Brooke and cuddled until she felt comfortable continuing her speech.
In her speech, Brooke mentioned that “much of her growth is because of Ali and Mariska.”
The actress shared the clip with the caption, “Hold tight to your female friends… the ones who hold up a mirror to you and force you to see yourself the way they see you @therealaliwentworth @therealmariskahargitay @glamourmag #glamourwoty.”
Ali then re-shared the same clip on her Instagram profile and furthered the message to her followers.
A few commented on the camaraderie between the three women. One wrote, “You three are the most beautiful and powerful friends,” while a second said, “You're beautiful! Glad you have those friends. We all need ‘em.”
A third said, “One of God's best gifts on this earth. Best friends are Lifelines! Thank you @brookeshields @therealaliwentworth @therealmariskahargitay for always bringing this to light.”

Ali Wentworth supports mental charity for children
The ‘GMA’ star’s wife also attended a non-profit charity event supporting the cause of mental health among children.
She shared a snap from the event with the President of the charity, Dr Harold Koplewicz, praising the work of the charity.
She captioned her post, "I have supported @childmindinstitute for years because they transform the lives of children struggling with mental health and learning disorders. And our country is in a mental health crisis. We have to scaffold our younger generations.”
