CLEVELAND, OHIO: 'The Maverick' Logan Paul, who recently defeated Rey Mysterio to become the WWE United States champion, took to 'X' (formerly Twitter) to share a self-appreciation post.
Since his debut in WWE, Logan Paul has made a name for himself, and by winning the US title, he has won his first championship in the company. He defeated Mysterio by knocking him out with a brass knuckle.
Logan Paul's self-appreciation post
In the post, Logan Paul said, "Become a WWE Champion", with a tick mark. The post had a video of Logan Paul's match with Rey Mysterio during Crown Jewel 2023. The post was shared on November 5, 2023, and has so far received around 758K views.
Many fans also commented on the video. A person wrote, "You should rebrand your ring gear to the colors, red, white, and blue as the US Champ while always having an ice pop prime!"
Another person said, "Logan Paul is the Messi of WWE." Another fan wrote, "Saved my idol's life."
Logan Paul plans to stay in WWE
Logan Paul spoke to Marc Raidmondi over at ESPN after his match at Crown Jewel. Paul said, "I think I have to. You’re going to have to watch Raw. You’re going to have to watch SmackDown. I’m going to make some surprise appearances and show these wrestlers who’s the real king."
Even though Paul appeared on Monday Night Raw setting up the bout with Mysterio, the United States championship has only been available on Friday Night SmackDown.
Though WWE seldom ever adheres to its own brand split policies, it is operating under the free agency status that permits that level of flexibility.
Logan Paul's relationship with Triple H
During Logan Paul's conversation with Mail Sport, he said, "I’m so stoked that Triple H and the company believes in me like they do. Hopefully I can make them proud and I know I will. He’s super receptive to my ideas."
He added, "I’m a content creator – keyword ‘creator’. I like to make stuff, I come up with ideas. When I pitch my ideas, he’s all ears all the time. We bounce ideas off each other, we go back and forth and usually land on stuff that’s pretty epic. It’s super collaborative and I like that they give me the freedom to be who I am in their company."
