LONDON, ENGLAND: Author Omid Scobie claimed in his newest book 'Endgame' that Netflix purposefully unveiled a shocking teaser for 'Harry and Meghan' on the same day as Prince William's well-publicized Earthshot Prize presentation.
Author Scobie asserted in his book that William's long-planned award event to honor environmental efforts was eclipsed by the streaming behemoth's "intentional move" in scheduling.
In his latest book, Scobie takes aim at everything from Kate, Harry, and William's "irreparable" estrangement to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "cheap shot" eviction from Frogmore Cottage as a "punishment" for their shocking Netflix series.
Prince Harry said Palace officials fabricated tales about Meghan
The controversy surrounding the Netflix documentary, when the Duke of Sussex said that Palace officials intentionally fabricated bad tales about his wife for the media, had the potential to overshadow the entirety of Wales's first visit to the US since 2014.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen crying in the first trailer for the contentious docuseries 'Harry and Meghan', which was unveiled concurrently with the Prince and Princess of Wales' arrival in Boston for the 2022 Oscars.
Though Scobie said the Earthshot Prize ceremony failed to fascinate viewers on both sides of the Atlantic, it was considered William's "Super Bowl moment" in the US because of how important it was to him, per Daily Mail.
Notwithstanding the effects on the environment, he claimed that famous people had flown to the awards, and a green carpet had been "shipped halfway across the world" to take the place of the customary red carpet.
The Prince and Princess of Wales had previously "coasted on their star power" after their 2011 wedding, claims Scobie, who stated that this was the first time they had faced "image challenges of their very own."
Scobie stated that William's vitality and consciousness "provided a much-needed contrast to older, stodgier family members," and that Kate had proven popular and had enjoyed a "fairy-tale role."
Internet users say they 'knew that since it happened'
Following the latest revelation from Scobie's book 'Endgame', Internet users assert they knew that the American OTT streaming service "deliberately" released the 'Harry and Meghan' series trailer on the same day as Prince William's Earthshot Prize.
One such user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "You mean harkles deliberately did it? Yes we know"
Another X user asserted, "We knew that since it happened Is this supposed to be news ? Is this supposed to make H&M look better ? No it doesn’t!"
The user continued, "The duo signed up for that They were well aware and being the producers, anything that could bring viewers and attention was planned and welcomed."
"And Omid gloated it was the “halftime” show. He knew. The weirdo trio are all in cahoots. Oh but the Sussexes are “about the future” “looking forward not back” and “blissfully unaware of the press,” chimed in one more user.
Another user slammed the American OTT platform and wrote, "We know! They do it all the time. Shame @netflix for being money grubbing, greedy to allow these lies to be touted as a documentary."
"We didn’t need Scobie to tell us that. Is this an example of the reverberating quality of his disclosures in the new book?" enquired another one.
