NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Alex Rodriguez relished his ‘proud dad’ moment as he enthusiastically celebrated his daughter Natasha’s high school graduation. The former New York Yankees star, 47, took to his Instagram on Sunday, May 21, to share a heart-warming congratulation post, alongside a lengthy message of love and support.
The slideshow post featured an adorable snap of Natasha flashing her twinkling smile while posing with her father, mother Cynthia Scurtis and stepdad Angel Nicolas, as well as her little sisters Ella, 15, and Camilla. Rodriguez’s post also included a throwback pic of his eldest daughter, plus some additional shots of her posing alongside other family members. "Yesterday was bittersweet. 'I’m most proud of who you are as a person'
"As you move on from one chapter to the next, I’m most proud of who you are as a person. Honest, kind, compassionate, intuitive, and wise beyond your years," Rodriguez continued, adding "As your father, I’m supposed to be your role model. But for the last 18 years, you’ve been mine. Proud of you always! Love, Daddy." Natasha also took a moment to respond to her dad's post, writing in the comment section: "Thank you Daddy ?."
Rodriguez shares 18-year-old Natasha and 15-year-old Ella with his ex-wife Scurtis, who he married in 2002. Their marriage didn’t last long as Scurtis filed for divorce in 2008. She has now remarried and settled with Angel Nicolas, a realtor and fitness entrepreneur with whom she has a daughter, as per People. Rodriguez’s congratulating post came just a few days after ‘Southern Charm’ star Madison LeCroy alleged that he was searching for a ‘side chick’ while he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez. During her appearance on the ‘Pillows and Beer’ podcast, the reality TV star revealed that Rodriguez, who is now dating Canadian fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro, first approached her on Instagram in 2020.
Was Alex Rodriguez looking for a ‘side chick’ while being engaged to Jennifer Lopez?
"I’m being f**king catfished. There’s no way the dude who’s dating J.Lo is not in my DMs right now,” she said about her initial reaction, according to Daily Mail. LeCroy went on to claim that their conversation soon got way past small talk and he began messaging her a lot. Podcast host Austen Kroll, who was seeing LeCroy at the time Rodriguez made his approaches, recalled the circumstance and said that he FaceTimed her several times a day and treated her with entitlement.
LeCroy later concurred with Kroll, saying, “I told him, I said, ‘If you’re looking for a side chick’, which clearly he was, it wasn’t gonna be me. I was like ‘Hey, I know you got a lot of friends out there' … I’m wifey material.” She further stated that the former baseball player offered to fly her to his hometown of Miami on many occasions, but she turned him down each time. "Swear to God, I've never, ever seen that person in person", LeCroy said.
Rodriguez's spokesperson, Ron Berkowitz, vehemently denied LeCroy and Kroll's allegations after the podcast's publication and told Page Six that "her 15 minutes of fame are up, and she is attempting to obtain a 16th minute. Stop wasting everyone's time with these untrue stories, please. They were untrue two years ago and remain untrue." The first reports of a relationship between Rodriguez and LeCroy surfaced in March 2021, when Danni Baird, a co-star on her reality show 'Southern Charm', went into detail about rumors that the reality star had been texting the former Yankees player. At that time LeCroy revealed that despite speaking on the call, she and Rodriguez never got physical.
