LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Drew Barrymore, the beloved actress and talk show host, recently created an uproar when she disclosed that the romance between Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce made her go on a date.
Nonetheless, some netizens claimed that she was attempting to ride Swift's popularity. This comes after Barrymore faced backlash stemming from her earlier decision to resume 'The Drew Barrymore Show' before the WGA strike was resolved.

On a recent episode of 'The Drew Barrymore Show', Drew Barrymore revealed that Taylor Swift's romance with Travis Kelce has helped her to be more open about dating.
The actress said, "There was something so normal about it," referring to Swift attending her first Kansas City Chief's match.
Barrymore later stated, "It was like she just went on a date and it made me think I could just go out on a date," noting how Swift didn't "overthink" about her date, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
She added, "I don't know, it was so calm and confident and normal. That it just made me think I should do this too and I thank her for that."
During a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow, Barrymore also opened up about seeing someone on and off for the last three years and that she had recently invited him to accompany her to a wedding.
She credited Swift for giving her the confidence, saying, "Something about Taylor Swift dating like a normal person and not being a dark horse about it."
The 'Charlie's Angels' actress, who has been single since her divorce from Will Kopelman in April 2016, has often opened up about her love life.
In a June interview with Vulture, she discussed her dating life and her experiences with dating apps, including Raya.
She explained, "I was such a love junkie... I was almost never not single. I spent a lot of my life loving romance and drama and all of that. I just burnt myself out on it. I genuinely am tired and exhausted," as per Vulture.
Barrymore previously claimed that she's "not open to a relationship," adding, "I really think I have some serious sh*t buried. And I don't know if it's like I need to try an MDMA treatment or psilocybin as a way to get to some state where I could see things in a different way."
