Kim Kardashian has used a statement about the Israel-Hamas war to fly the flag for another humanitarian cause. Writing on Instagram, the influencer expressed sympathy for those caught in the unfolding conflict in the Middle East but urged people to also address "ethnic cleansing" in Armenia. Dedicating the message to "[her] Jewish friends and family," she wrote: "I love you. I support you. I have heard about how scared you feel during this time, and I want you to know you are not alone in this. “My heart is broken seeing the videos of these babies and families being terrorized and murdered in front of the whole world! “As human beings with a heart, how can anyone not be devastated by these horrific images that we will never be able to unsee?” She continued: “No matter who’s [sic] side you are on, or how you have been triggered by the horrors of these past few days, our hearts should always have room for compassion towards innocent victims caught in the cross hairs of warring over power, politics, religion, race and ethnicity,” she wrote. She added that she and her family are “praying for the safe return of hostages” and “for peace for all the innocent.” Then she brought attention to the people who are the “victims of an ethnic cleansing themselves” in Armenia. “They are in this moment also suffering from an extreme humanitarian crisis, and there are still prisoners of war being held captive or missing,” she wrote. Condemning the "indefensible violence" carried out by Hamas, she went on: "Although I know there is nothing, I can do to personally get rid of the pain of those who are suffering, my family and I are praying for the safe return of hostages, for those that have died and their affected families, for peace for all the innocent, and for the perpetrators of this indefensible violence to be brought to justice." She concluded her statement by urging her 364 million Instagram followers not to "judge" others for speaking out or staying silent at a time of crisis, and to check on the people they love. "My call to action today, something that we can all do, is simply to reach out to your friends, colleagues, and those in your community, those who are hurting, no matter what side they are on, check in on them and tell them you love them," she wrote. "I also ask that, during difficult times like these, not to judge who is or isn't speaking out, because everyone should be allowed to deal with times of crisis in the way that they feel most comfortable, whether it be privately or publicly." Her statement comes as the Israel-Hamas conflict escalates, with latest reports claiming Hamas murdered over 40 young children and babies. Israel has retaliated through air strikes in Gaza. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan took control of the contested region of Nagorno-Karabakh in Armenia last month creating tensions and conflict between the ex-Soviet states. Kylie Jenner has lost around 328,000 Instagram followers since sharing and swiftly deleting a post supporting Israel. On Saturday (7 October), the 26-year-old reposted an upload from Instagram account @standwithus. It showed the Israel flag and the text: "Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel." The reality star almost immediately removed the Instagram Story after being accused of "performative activism". One person wrote: "Girl, if that’s what you support. Then stand by it. Or was it just more performative activism? Don’t double back now that you’re getting backlash. Smh…" Another harshly added: "Someone ask Kylie Jenner to point to Israel on the map". A third person suggested that "it's actually way worse" Jenner deleted the solidarity post. "It shows a lack of knowledge and care, she just posted it to be talked about," they wrote. Gal Gadot, Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman, Madonna, Nina Dobrev and Amy Schumer have also shown their support for Israel on social media. Meanwhile, many more have been vocal about the Israel-Hamas conflict, with Mia Khalifa having a work contract terminated as a result. "Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal," she wrote on X/Twitter. She later returned to social media to clarify her comments, adding: "I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is [inciting] spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that's what the Palestinian citizens are... fighting for freedom every day." IShowSpeed was permanently banned from Twitch in 2021, but it appears his channel has been reinstated by the streaming service. With over 30 million combined subscribers on his three YouTube channels, IShowSpeed is one of the most popular live streamers and is known for playing video games such as FIFA and Fortnite. The 18-year-old also pulls some incredible stunts such as setting off fireworks indoors, to an elephant toothpaste experiment which led to him being needing urgent medical attention. But YouTube wasn't always his home, as IShowSpeed previously used to live stream on Twitch - that was until he made a sexist outburst on Adin Ross’ stream which resulted him in being permanently banned in December 2021. However, it looks like the streamer's Twitch channel is back as fans noticed this re-appearance, although it has fewer followers than before at 237,000 (and rising). This update comes following fellow streamer Kai Cenat's revealing in July he asked Twitch CEO Dan Clancy to unban IShowSpeed. "We sat down with the CEO. The first couple of questions I asked: ‘Yo, we need Speed unbanned ASAP!’” the Twitch streamer said. Cenat detailed how Clancy said “I agree” on this matter. “So, CEO, do what you’ve got to do. Okay? CEO, do what you’ve got to do!” he added. In September, Clancy said he is open to giving permabanned streamers “another chance," but this needs to happen in a "scalable way" for both big and small creators. IShowSpeed himself has not yet commented on the reappearance of his Twitch channel, so we'll have to wait and see his thoughts on this update. Andrew and Tristan Tate have called out Jordan Peterson for encouraging war as the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues. In a recent stream, the controversial brothers, who consider themselves anti-war, smoked and played chess as they branded Peterson a 'hypocrite'. "I find it extremely asinine and quite childish, hypocritical, and also disingenuous that people like Peterson would call for the genocide and call for war, when truthfully he would hate to be anywhere near a war", the former kickboxer blasted. Drake has hit back after internet personality and self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate recently took a pop at Canadian men. The rapper, who is Canadian, was responding to comments by Tate, in which he said he doesn’t think Canadian men are manly. On an episode of his podcast, Tate said: “Imagine being from Canada. Imagine saying I’m a man. ‘From where?’ ‘From Canada.’ “What? That doesn’t go together. ‘What are you talking about? Wait. You’re a man? From Canada?’ Nah. Can’t be. ‘No, no, I’m a man.’ “You’re not, bruv. Of course not. There’s no men in Canada. F***ing joking.” Clearly, Tate, who is awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, doesn’t think Canadians live up to his idea of masculinity. Drake didn’t seem to take too kindly to the comments either. The rapper commented on a clip from the podcast by writing “green light”. In slang, “green light” means putting out a hit on someone, or alerting people that people should attack or criticise a person in response to a perceived slight. And it’s not the first time Tate has criticised Drake. Earlier this year, he tweeted about the rapper’s pink nail polish, saying: “There’s a reason I deny meeting all the famous people who try to meet me.” Tate and his brother Tristan were charged in June along with two Romanian female suspects of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. The suspects have denied the allegations. Drake, meanwhile, recently said he will take a break from music following the release of his album For All The Dogs. On an episode of the SiriusXM series Table for One, Drake shared: "I probably won't make music for a little bit. "I'm going to be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I'll talk about that soon enough. "Nothing crazy… I want people to be healthy in life, and I've been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach. I'm just saying what it is. "So, I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I'm going to that. I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on. "So, I'm going to lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don't even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer." Influencer Logan Paul is under fire after allegedly only offering the victims of his cryptocurrency project, CryptoZoo, 5-10 per cent of their losses. CryptoZoo was a cryptocurrency game that Paul described as a "really fun game that makes you money", where he asked fans to invest by purchasing cryptocurrency collectables. However, a year later, no game materialised, with Paul apparently abandoning the project. Despite this, the CryptoZoo website still says it is "undergoing upgrades" and that "big things are coming!" At the start of 2023, YouTube investigator known as 'Coffeezilla' uploaded a crypto video titled 'Investigating Logan Paul's Biggest Scam', racking up over 9 million views. The video featured those who had invested in the game, individually listing off the amount of money they had lost from it, anywhere between $15,000 to $500,000. Initially, Paul threatened legal action against Coffeezilla for defamation, but days later apologised and said he would take accountability, with part of this including repaying investors. Nine months later, however, and those who requested a refund are still waiting for their money to be returned. YouTuber 'Kavos' has an alleged update on the situation, saying "reliable sources" are claiming that Paul's "best offer was 5-10 per cent of the losses suffered". Kavos went on to call it "an absolute disgrace", and added that "before this 'offer' Logan and his team tried to get the case dismissed. There is absolutely no accountability or sympathy for his actions." Many were outraged at Paul's actions, with one user writing "there's no rock bottom for him". Whilst another asked "is anyone surprised?" Saying Paul has never "shown an ounce of integrity": However, some were hesitant to criticise due to the ambiguity of Kavos' "reliable sources": Indy100 has reached out to Logan Paul for comment. Kylie Kenner posted and deleted a pro-Israel post from her Instagram amid the deadly situation in the region. In Israel, more than 1,000 people are believed to have been killed after Hamas launched surprise attacks, including at a music festival close to the Gaza Strip. On her Instagram story, Jenner shared an image, first posted by the pro-Israel Instagram account @StandWithUs, which featured the blue and white Israel flag, along with the words “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel!” written on it. Within one hour, the 26-year-old influencer had deleted the image from her stories following backlash that was made evident in the comments section of her most recent Instagram post. Though the post that received several comments made no mention of the Israel-Gaza conflict, it soon became a place for people to vent their thoughts about Jenner showing support for one side, in what is a historically complex issue. Many of the comments featured Palestine flags and read the words “Free Palestine”. Others also posted several Israel flag emojis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a live television address that “we are at war” and warned that “the enemy will pay an unprecedented price”. Israeli forces are still battling against Hamas fighters in several locations on their own territory, as one thousand targets have been hit in Gaza overnight following Saturday’s bloody attack. At least 700 people have reportedly been killed in Israel — a staggering toll on a scale the country has not experienced in decades — and more than 400 have been killed in Gaza, while thousands have been wounded on each side. Rapper and singer Doja Cat is being called out for wearing a shirt with Sam Hyde's face on it. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Dlamini, posted a selfie where a T-shirt with Hyde's face on it was visible. She has since posted a different selfie where the T-shirt is out of the frame. However, she has decided to leave a selfie featuring Hyde's face on her Instagram story. Hyde is the co-founder of the sketch comedy group Million Dollar Extreme. He faced criticism for the use of racism, homophobia and anti-semitism in his 'humour'. In 2017, Hyde also pledged $5,000 towards the legal defence fund of the founder of neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer, Andrew Anglin. The new selfie that was uploaded by Doja Cat to replace the original featuring Hyde, is flooded with comments saying things such as: "We saw the first post", "girl get it together. This isn't cute or funny", and "Why are you hiding your shirt? Embarrassed that you're wearing something with a nazi on it?" Over on Twitter/X, listeners and fans have been sharing their thoughts, with one user writing: "We need to stop trivialising Doja Cat's conduct as 'edginess' and be clear that she's a Nazi Sympathiser." Whilst another called her "a pick me for incels". One user said fans can no longer "separate artist from art" and that they "see how much of an awful person she is." This isn't the first time the 27-year-old has come under fire after her boyfriend was revealed to be controversial streamer J. Cyrus. Many criticised her for associating with someone who had previously had allegations of sexual abuse brought against him. At the time, Dojo told fans: "I DON'T GIVE A F*CK WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE I NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL GIVE A F*CK WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME OR MY PERSONAL LIFE GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE MISERABLE HOES HAHA!" Elon Musk has shared his thoughts on whether aliens really exist out there in the universe. The 52-year-old billionaire is CEO of SpaceX, which manufactures and launches rockets into space with the "goal of enabling people to live on other planets," and now he's given his take on whether there is life beyond Earth. Musk appeared via video link at the International Astronautical Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan on Thursday (October 5) where his ambition to launch his Starship spacecraft to Mars was discussed, along with what future endeavours into space will look like. While aliens were also mentioned, Musk said he has seen "no evidence" they exist. "People often ask me if I’ve seen any evidence of aliens and I unfortunately have seen no evidence of aliens yet," Musk said. "We are the aliens, as far as I can tell." He added: "And I think if anyone would know, it would probably be me, and I’ve not seen any evidence of aliens. "So, what that perhaps suggests is that this tiny candle of consciousness that is humanity is all that exists in a vast darkness, and we should do everything we can to ensure that the candle does not go out." It's not the first time Musk has discussed this topic as he shared a similar opinion during an interview in April with with then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson. However, he added that if knew aliens were real he would tweet this information out to the world. "I'm, you know, very familiar with space stuff," he said. "I’ve seen no evidence of aliens. I would immediately tweet it out. "That’d be probably the top tweet of all time. 'We found one, guys!' It's the jackpot with some 8billion likes." Definitely worth keeping an eye on Musk's tweets then, you know, just in case... Meanwhile, the business magnate has claimed he is in fact an alien himself. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been making headlines after the musician attended two of the Kansas City Chiefs games - but the American footballer has since spoken out about all the attention the dating rumours have brought. In the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis discussed the matter with his brother and Philadelphia Eagle player Jason Kelce. Jason asked Travis for his thoughts on how the NFL treats celebrities who attended games, and asked his brother to "take away your feelings for Taylor". To which Travis laughed before sharing his thoughts. "I think it's fun when they show who is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching," he said. “They're overdoing it,” Jason interjected, and then Travis replied: “They're overdoing it a little bit for sure. Especially my situation. "[But] I think they’re just trying to have fun with it.” Since the podcast episode came out, the NFL has responded on Wednesday (October 4) with a statement on the topic via PEOPLE.
