Taking viewers into the huddle and locker room and onto the field, "Quarterback" offers a three-headed view of life in the NFL trenches that should be enticing to football fans. As it happens, though, not all play callers are created equal, with Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes easily providing the best and most entertaining company, eclipsing the mere mortals who flesh out the Netflix docuseries.

At first blush, "Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed" seems determined to find every movie phrase uttered by the actor -- famously closeted throughout his career as a leading man -- that could be construed to have a double meaning hinting at who he really was. Yet the HBO documentary ultimately provides a sobering window into that time, zooming in on Hudson's screen roles to coyly illustrate what he was experiencing off it.

It's always interesting to see what actors have been up to while working on a for-the-ages show like "Succession," which sets a high bar for what comes next. Two low-key examples arrive this week, with Sarah Snook anchoring "Run Rabbit Run," a creepy little macabre Australian thriller, while Brian Cox is squandered by the more disposable "Prisoner's Daughter."

To those wide-eyed romantics who dared hope that a second season would fix all the things wrong with the first one of "And Just Like That...," the "Sex and the City" sequel returns with its abundant flaws intact. Awkward, unconvincing and only sporadically funny, the show remains a kind of streaming Frankenstein, stitched together from a jumbled assortment of parts.
