CNN's Kaitlan Collins will anchor a new show at 9 p.m. starting in June, CNN CEO Chris Licht announced Wednesday.

Homes Under the Hammer star, Martin Roberts, had E4 viewers in stitches last night (16 May), after he underwent 'spanking therapy' as part of a detox. What's more, the presenter didn't get the treatment from a professional, but instead, from Love Island's Toby Aromolaran. Roberts previously drank his own urine on The Great Celebrity Detox, but viewers couldn't help but laugh at his red-raw behind following the therapy session, which is thought to boost wellness. It just shows how well observed Steve Coogan’s comedy character Alan Partridge is, when time after time broadcasters and pundits continue to accidentally resemble North Norfolk’s finest DJ. We have Dan Walker to thank for an instant classic “accidental Partridge” moment, when the host asked a question about an 11-year-old with a knife which has sent social media into hysterics. The Channel 5 news reader posed a question to his followers on Twitter which left most people baffled – and bore more than a passing resemblance to something Partridge would ask on his radio phone-ins. “If an 11-year-old is brandishing a knife… is it ok to taser them?” Walker wrote. The tweet was seemingly in relation to an incident which took place earlier this week. The police watchdog is investigating after an 11-year-old boy holding a knife was tasered during a stand-off at a holiday park. Police were called to reports of a disturbance at Craig Tara Caravan Park near Ayr at about 11.15pm on Wednesday March 22. Walker isn’t the only one to have been compared to Partridge over recent weeks. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was compared to him after discussing his favourite band… The Beatles. The PM was asked to name his favourite musical group, and he told GB News reporter Darren McCaffrey that his favourite band was the fab four. In one telling scene from I’m Alan Partridge, the Norwich-based radio DJ is asked what his favourite Beatles album is. “Tough one. I think I’d have to say the best of the Beatles,” he replies. The beef between Mick Lynch and Richard Madeley also recently took another development after the union boss said the presenter should be cast in an “Alan Partridge pantomime” – referring to his frequent Partridge-isms on air. Mae Muller appears unphased after placing 25th at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, and even managed to laugh off the loss with a self-deprecating TikTok. 'Don't know about u [sic] but I had a fab time', she wrote alongside the clip of her miming over a viral TikTok meme. 'Never forget that you helped uphold a great British tradition (of us being in the bottom 5)', one person joked in the comments. Stars took to the red carpet at last night's glamourous Fast X Mexico City premiere, but one moment that left fans scratching their heads was Vin Diesel turning up with a Bluetooth speaker. Instead of answering questions for reporters, the actor took out his speaker and began blasting a song from the film's soundtrack, 'Angel Part 1'. The collaboration between BTS member Jimin, rapper Kodak Black, and singer, JVKE, is due for release on 18 May, a day before the film is released. Brendan O'Brien, who provided a number of the original voices on the Crash Bandicoot games, has died at the age of 60. O’Brien was a voice actor who worked on the classic franchise in the 1990s. He was responsible for voicing the characters of Crash Bandicoot, N.Gin, Dr Neo Cortex, Dr Nitrus Brio, and Tiny Tiger. He was involved in all three of the first three games before Scott Whyte took over as the voice of Crash from the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter A post on Legacy.com shared by the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account stated that O’Brien died on 23 March, although a cause of death has yet to be confirmed. The post reads: "Sharing our sincere condolences to Brendan O’Brien’s loved ones for his passing," their tweet read. "He was an incredible talent who brought Crash Bandicoot and other Crash characters to life. He will forever live on in the hearts of Crash fans." A tribute to O’Brien’s time working on the gaming franchise reads: “One of his proudest moments was coming up with the original voices for the Crash Bandicoot video games during the Naughty Dog years of 1996 to 2004. "He encouraged nostalgic Crash fans in their own pursuits and loved signing their memorabilia. Like music, designing character voices for animation, radio and video games came naturally to him.” The first Crash Bandicoot game was released in 1996 and would go on to be remembered as one of the quintessential games of the time. After months of rumours, Keith Urban has been the one to accidentally confirm that Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham are an item. The singer was innocently filming himself at a Taylor Swift concert along with wife, Nicole Kidman, not realising that Bridgers and Burnham were seemingly sharing a smooch in the background. Awkward. The comedian and Bridgers were first linked following the singer's split from Paul Mescal at the start of the year, but have never confirmed their relationship. Film lovers are just realising that a famous Angela Bassett line is sampled in one of the biggest dance tracks of all time. Those who like Fatboy Slim will recognise the line from the track 'Right Here, Right Now' - which is actually the actor's voice from the 1995 action film, Strange Days. Bassett, who plays Mace Mason, pins Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) up against a wall, when she says: "This is your life, right here right now, it's real." It started out as a relatively gritty film series grounded in the realities of underground street racing, but the Fast and Furious series has evolved and grown exponentially over recent years into something entirely different. Instead of the character dramas about drag races and undercover cops – which admittedly did take a few liberties with the laws of physics from time to time – the last few films have ditched the idea of reality entirely. And why not? People want to see cars being flown into space and Vin Diesel bombing around in a super car dodging explosions, and quite honestly we hope the series continues to get more and more ridiculous as time goes on. These are the times the Fast and Furious movies 'abandoned reality' – and took us along for the ride. The rope swing scene from F9 Where to even start with this one. Not only does a car attach to a plane after driving straight off a cliff, but Diesel proceeds to follow it by swinging off a rope like Spider-Man and landing safely(ish) with Michelle Rodríguez. If Fast 9’s stunts have anything to go by, we’re clearly in for some of the biggest and silliest stunts ever in Fast X. When Vin Diesel fought off 20 men and pulled down a building He’s a big guy, Diesel. But is he big enough to fight off a squad of hired goons and pull down the entire bowels of a building with his bare hands? Definitely not. When Vin Diesel smashed into Jason Statham There have been some unhinged moments in the franchise, but sometimes the simplest are the most effective. In this bonkers scene from Fast and Furious 7 Diesel and Jason Statham take part in a demented game of chicken. The pair of them slam their cars head-first into one another, before surviving a crash that would have definitely killed them both. Bonkers. Vin Diesel stopping submarines All of Fast and Furious 8 or Fate of the Furious is like something dreamed up by a five-year-old with their first Hot Wheels set, and nothing is more unrealistic than this moment. It sees Diesel guide a heat-seeking missile into the path of a submarine, before taking cover from the explosion behind their cars, all on a thin sheet of ice. Flying a car into space If the series hadn’t jumped the shark already, then sending a car into space, before breaking the sound barrier and crash landing into a satellite at -270 degrees Celsius in Fast 9 surely did it. When Vin Diesel defied the laws of gravity By this point in Fast and Furious 6, the series had abandoned laws of physics to such a great extent that they gave Diesel straight-up flying capabilities. After Rodríguez is thrown from a tank, she looks doomed to fall from a great height, only for Diesel to take off, zoom through the sky and catch her mid-air, saving the day. Thank heavens. When Vin Diesel develops magic powers in the fourth film This has to be the strangest in the entire list. For a brief moment in Fast 4, the creators of the franchise briefly gave Diesel the power to evaporate into thin air and miss a fatal crash. For a moment, it looked like they’d turned the series’ biggest star into a wizard with magical powers, but then it was never referenced again and things carried on as normal. Very odd. When The Rock held the weight of a chopper Dwayne Johnson’s arrival in the Fast series really helped to turn the franchise into the testosterone-fuelled beast it is today. His first appearance was in Fast 5 and it’s this moment from spin-off movie Hobbs & Shaw where he held the weight of an entire helicopter that really nailed the daftness of his character, and his seemingly limitless strength. Driving from one skyscraper to another The films are never short on spectacle, no-one can deny that. What is debatable, though, is the viability of a car driving out of one hi-rise building and then landing perfectly safe in another skyscraper a little further apart. When Vin Diesel survived direct missile strikes Although Vin Diesel is already in a Marvel film (he plays 'Groot' in Guardians of the Galaxy) – the fact is, he’s been playing a superhero for more than 20 years. The man is indestructible, as this clip of him taking direct hits from missile strikes, before rolling out onto the road without a scratch proves. Have your say in our news democracy. Scott Mills has confirmed that Mel Giedroyc's viral 'milk-churning' moment at Eurovision was actually real, by posting a behind-the-scenes clip of the action live from Liverpool. The Bake Off host set pulses racing with the suggestive move as she dressed up as a milkmaid - and no one could quite believe it was being shown on the BBC. Eurovision 2023 takes place in Liverpool tonight and we've got you covered for all the memes that you are going to need. This year's contest is taking place in the UK as last year's winners, Ukraine are unable to host due to the illegal invasion of their country by Russia and the ongoing war between the two nations. Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has been prevented from speaking at the grand final but reigning champions Kalush Orchestra believes he would have wanted to. Tymofii Muzychuk, a piper who forms part of the seven-piece, told the PA news agency: “Actually we think that President Zelensky would have wanted to thank all the British people for doing this and, as we can see, Britain took this very responsibly, the UK. And so actually I think it would have been nice for him to talk.” Elsewhere, UK entry Mae Muller has received messages of support from the world of politics, as Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said “we’re all cheering you on”. “Good luck to (Mae Muller) a Kentish Town local, at @Eurovision tonight!” Sir Keir tweeted. “We’re all cheering you on.” Labour Mayor of London Sadiq Khan tweeted: “Tonight we’re rooting for our fellow Londoner Mae Muller in the #Eurovision final.” As the tension mounts, here's how the UK is preparing for the night's activities.
