Stand-up comedian Matt Rife has admitted that he considered quitting the career befoe he got his first viral video on TikTok. Speaking on the Wednesday night edition of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon the 28-year-old said opened up about his struggles in the industry. Rife, who has just sold out 260 dates on his ProbleMATTic World Tour, shared how dramatically his life has turned around in just over 12 months. He told Fallon: "I went from -- I mean, literally, July of last year, I was considering quitting comedy and everything. I couldn't sell any tickets at any comedy club. I wasn't getting any kind of break." Azealia Banks has hit out at Troye Sivan in a homophobic rant on social media, all because Sivan complimented her song ‘212’. Sivan was speaking as part of an interview with Spotify when he was asked what his go-to “pre game banger” was, and he said he was a fan of Banks’s 2012 hit. It seemed like Sivan was paying a harmless compliment to the track, but Banks didn’t respond as you might have expected. Instead, she hit out at Sivan and said he didn’t have a “clue” about her experiences in the music industry. “This is these white kids’ weird way of apologizing for bandwagoning. Having no clue of the kind of shit happening to me behind the scenes in the industry,” she wrote. Banks wasn’t finished there either, writing: “I’m not impressed by any of these people (who I’ve never met in person nor had a conversation with me) not having the audacity to be as public and loud with their apology as they were with using their platform to cast judgment as if a singular me was an important social justice issue. “I would REALLY appreciate all of these f*ckin civilian ass bitches to stop mentioning me, stop dancing to my s**t in the club if you’re not going to treat me like a human and take back all the unfounded bullshit you all used ur platforms to perpetuate.” It’s far from the first time Banks has faced criticism after going on a rant on social media, but the slamming of Sivan seemingly came out of knowhere. Things really took a turn when she called him a “peadophile”, too. “And your a late condescending expired Twink anyway b**ch. Bryan Johnson, who has become known as the man who will try anything to stay young, has revealed some unexpected NSFW information about himself - and says he's attempting to be comparable to an 18-year-old. Johnson, 45, pulled out a device while on Steven Bartlett's podcast, and explained by how measuring his night time erections, he can get a good indication of his health. He said that he's currently on two hours 12 minutes per night, however, his goal is to get to the standard of an 18-year-old, which is three hours and 30 minutes. Whoopi Goldberg has become the latest middle aged person to scold millennials for being lazy. The Oscar-winner, who turns 68 on 13th November, said the younger generation “only want to work four hours” and dismissed the idea that it is harder to get on the property ladder now than in previous decades. She said: “Every generation comes and wants to do better than their parents did, but I am sorry, if you only want to work four hours, it is going to be harder for you to get a house. “I feel for everybody that feels this, but I am sorry, we busted our behinds, we had to because we didn’t have the opportunities. “Every generation is told they are going to do worse than their parents, people pick it up and do what they do and they raise themselves. And this is what you've got to do. “It is called being a good citizen.” Goldberg, who has an estimated net worth of $60m, made the comments after a slew of studies came out this year which suggest it is harder for millennials to own homes than previous generations. Government data analysed by property listing company Apartment List found that by age 30, just 42 per cent of millennials owned homes, compared to 48 per cent of gen Xers and 51 per cent of baby boomers. The gap persists into their early 40s, with the oldest millennials still having a lower rate of ownership than previous generations when they were that age. Speaking on a talk show on 8 November, Goldberg was responding to comments from co-host Alyssa Farah, who suggested the 2008 financial crisis and other economic disruptions in the 15 years since had made things more difficult for millennials. While it is unlikely to be the only factor, many young people in the US came out of college with poor earning prospects in the wake of the financial crash. That, in turn, widened income inequality and caused house prices to rise faster than wages in the decade following. People on social media were quick to criticise her comments. One person said: “Sometimes Whoopi totally gets it wrong. This would be an instance.” “Whoopi don’t do this… Homes are unaffordable, and people are priced out of their area,” another wrote. “Whoopi’s tone is a prime example of why things are so tough for younger generations,” a third person added. Zac Efron has responded to the apparent rumours that the late Matthew Perry wanted the 36-year-old to play him in a biopic about his life. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Perry's friend Athenna Crosby claimed he had told her this the night before his tragic death which was reported to be from an apparent drowning in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28. "He said that he wanted to make a movie about his life," she said. "He had worked with Zac Efron in the past on a movie, and said he wanted Zac Efron to play him as a younger version and that he was gonna ask him soon to do that." Crosby referred to the comedy film 17 Again both Perry and Efron starred in where they younger and older versions of the same character. Now Efron has since responded to say how he felt feels 'hugely honoured' upon hearing that Perry had mentioned him when thinking of an actor to play himself in his biopic. And appears keen to take on the role. "I'm honoured to hear he was thinking of me to play him. We'll see. I'd be honoured to do it," Efron told PEOPLE the premiere for his new film Iron Claw in Dallas, Texas, before sharing how Perry helped him as a young actor. "He was a mentor to me, and we made a really cool film together. I looked up to him, I learned comedic timing from that guy. "I mean, when we were filming 17 Again, it was so surreal for me to look across and have him be there, because I've learned so much from him, from his whole life." Elsewhere, Perry has previously reference a time where he had wrote a rom-com and wanted Efron to star in it - only for Efron to decline the role. "Well, it was Zac Efron. But he said no. Documentary maker Louis Theroux has responded to Piers Morgan's claims that he could "destroy" him in 30 seconds in a boxing match. This all came about after a clip was shared on X/Twitter of Theroux's upcoming season 2 of Louis Theroux Interviews with the first episode being a chat with heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, which aired on Wednesday. During the conversation, Joshua proposes that he could promote a fight between Theroux and Piers Morgan. Theroux seems to like the idea of taking on the outspoken TalkTV host and reckons he could "take him" if the fight happened. Morgan wasn't prepared to accept this a responded by saying: "Have you lost your marbles, @louistheroux ? I’d destroy you in 30 seconds, you puny wastrel." This was clearly all in good spirits as 53-year-old Theroux chimed back with: "I don't think you've got the cardio fitness, Piers, TBF. You'd gas out and after that I'd just be playing music on your chin like a boxing Beethoven." Many onlookers backed Theroux to best 58-year-old Morgan in the theoretical contest. Whether this would actually happen remains to be seen but the current trend of celebrity boxing matches featuring the likes of Logan Paul, Jake Paul, KSI and Tommy Fury are undoubtedly popular and bring in millions of viewers.
