Jamie Foxx flooded with support over 'medical emergency' that has family 'preparing for the worst'
Hollywood star Jamie Foxx has received numerous messages of support after reports that his family is “preparing for the worst” after he suffered a medical emergency. The 55-year-old actor has been hospitalised for the last four weeks after reportedly suffering an unspecified “serious medical emergency”. He remains “under observation” at a medical facility in Georgia. No explanation or cause of the medical complication has been given, but Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx broke the news on Instagram on 12 April that her father was unwell. In a since-deleted post on Instagram, she wrote: “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.” On 3 May, for the first time since his medical emergency, a post was shared on Foxx’s own Instagram account. Against a plain black background, the text read: “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.” The post has been liked almost 800,000 times and received thousands of comments from celebrity friends, fans and other well-wishers. Actress Halle Berry commented: “Love you, Jamie.” Singer John Legend also responded to the post with a series of prayer hand emojis. Actor Mahershala Ali also posted some supportive emojis. Chris Tyson says that MrBeast has supported their gender for years
Chris Tyson has spoken openly about their friendship with MrBeast, saying that the YouTuber has supported their gender since college. Tyson recently made headlines for sharing their journey with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and has been the subject of transphobic trolling online. The treatment is generally used to help a person's body align with their gender identity. MrBeast recently hit back at social media users who claimed his affiliation with the YouTuber could be detrimental to his career. Tyson has appeared in many of his videos in the past. MrBeast, real name is Jimmy Donaldson, clapped back at these suggestions on social media, writing: "Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my “nightmare” he’s my f***en friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to p*** me off." Sign up to our new free Indy100 weekly newsletter Spoke on GeorgeNotFound’s BANTER podcast, Tyson said that Donaldson had been aware of their gender identity for a long time. “I mean, Jimmy’s known it since we were in college together,” Chris said. “I accidentally walked out of a bedroom — like, my bedroom and his bedroom were apart…obviously not very cis-het-male. And I told him. I told him, I was like, ‘I don’t really know what it is. I don’t know if I’m ever gonna be ready to like, deal with it.'” “And he was like, ‘Oh yeah, you know, I don’t care. Just whenever it becomes a thing, just let me know.’ And then for like, seven years, or however many years, I just didn’t let him know.” In April, Tyson tweeted: "Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies". Despite the fact that MrBeast has been vocal in supporting Tyson, rumours had previously begun spreading online that Tyson had been dropped from MrBeast’s team after they didn’t appear in his recent video filmed in Japan. Responding to fan questions on a Snapchat stream, Tyson clarified that they had not been removed from the team. Instead, they had asked to spend more time with their two-year-old son Tucker. Asked if the rumours were true, Tyson said: “Nope, I pretty much told Jimmy [MrBeast], just because I want to spend time with Tucker, and he’s traveling a lot, I’m just going to come and go as I please.” Have your say in our news democracy. MrBeast responds to being 'cancelled' over accusation that 'makes no sense'
YouTuber MrBeast has responded to the backlash after reports that he has bought almost all the houses on one street for his staff and family to live in. Earlier this month, it was reported that MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, had purchased multiple homes on one street in a cul de sac in North Carolina, close to where he grew up. In response to the news, MrBeast has been on the receiving end of some backlash as some accuse him of being a “culty”. One person tweeted, “That sounds very culty lol”. Someone else argued, “The next Jonestown will happen here”. Another pointed out: “Imagine losing your job and your house on the same day. That’s what company towns are. Your employer owns every aspect of your life.” “What a nice man, surely a CEO buying homes and creating neighborhoods for their employee's families has no historical relevance or background at all,” someone else said. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter It seems MrBeast saw some of the criticism and defended himself for getting “cancelled” over a good deed. He replied: “Only I could get canceled for giving people a place to live with no strings attached.. “All these company town tweets make no sense, I was just helping some people.” Some of MrBeast’s fans also came to his defence. One person argued: “This man could solve world hunger and Twitter would still cry about it.” Another said: “They really scraping at the bottom of the barrel to cancel this man.” Have your say in our news democracy. Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and singer G Flip reveal they got married
Netflix reality star Chrishell Stause and Australian singer Georgia 'G Flip' Flipo have announced their marriage on social media. The Selling Sunset cast member took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 10) where she posed a reel showing a montage of the pair's love story over the course of their one year of dating. With the end photo showing the happy couple kissing each other inside a wedding chapel, while G Flip's new single 'Be Your Man' played as the soundtrack for the post. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "Love doesn’t always go as planned… Sometimes it’s immeasurably better," Stause wrote. "If you ever get the pleasure of meeting G, know that you are meeting one of the kindest, funniest & most talented hard working people out there... I love you so much." In response, G Flip commented: "My darling, I adore and love you with all my heart. These are the sweetest words and this is cutest little edit. "You make me so happy thank you x" Fans of the pair sent their well wishes to the couple, and expressed their surprise at the announcement. One person said: "MARRIED?!? Is this the announcement?!?" "Omg did you get married!?!? Ahhhh. I’m so over moon for you both!" another person wrote. Someone else added: "Can't believe it!! So so happy for you guys! Congrats!" Stause was previously married to 'This Is Us' star Justin Hartley from 2017 to 2021, and also dated her former boss Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim. The real estate agent left a congratulatory message on Stause's Instagram announcement: "I am SO excited for this!! You and G are the most inspiring couple and the affection between you both is so pure. I love you two tonnes and am so lucky to have you both in my life." Other Selling Sunset co-stars who also posted well wishes include Brett Oppenheim, Maya Vander, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Emma Hernan. The couple met back in 2021, and Stause appeared in G Flip's "GET ME OUTTA HERE" music video last year. The 41-year-old announced she was dating the Australian singer - who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns - during a Selling Sunset reunion episode. "You don’t get to choose where you meet someone. You don’t get to choose when you meet someone in their life," Stause told host Tan France. Following this, Stause posted a video on Instagram where she discussed her sexuality. "For me, I am attracted to masculine energy and I don’t really care what the physical form is," she said. “And with G, they identify as non-binary, so their pronouns are they/them, and everyone is different, but for them, they really feel like they are a mix and they identify on both sides of male, female,” Stause added.
