NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ weatherman Al Roker recently apologized to his co-star Dylan Dreyer for interrupting her during a segment on-air.

During a recent episode of ‘Today’, hosts Roker, Dreyer, Craig Melvin, and Sheinelle Jones welcomed Dr Samantha Boardman on Wellness Wednesday to discuss the “power of positivity while aging.”

While the hosts were discussing, Roker had to say “sorry” as he gave an abrupt update on his future with the morning show.

This happened after Roker went missing from the NBC show as he indulged himself in other business adventures.

While his co-stars took their normal spots on ‘Today 3rd Hour’, Roker was replaced by Dreyer who later reported his weather segment.

Al Roker apologizes to Dylan Dreyer

Sheinelle Jones, Al Roker, Craig Melvin, and Dylan Dreyer engaged in a discussion with the psychiatrist on the significance of maintaining a positive attitude toward aging, emphasizing how it can enhance one's quality of life and overall life expectancy.

Towards the end of the discussion, Roker added, “What helps people, especially if you enjoy your job, unlike our parents who, you know, got out at sixty-five--"

"Couldn't wait to retire,” intervened Dreyer. He continued, "You know, staying in your job," the cherished weatherman added before turning to his fellow meteorologist and said, “So sorry Dylan.”

While Melvin and Jones burst into laughter at a friendly jab, the former asked Dreyer, “You want him to live long don't cha?"

Dreyer replied, “I do,” and Roker quickly fired back, “Just not here,” as he thanked the doctor for joining them.

Al Roker’s major career move from ‘Today’

On Wednesday, the beloved weatherman AL Roker shared an exciting news away from ‘Today’ show.

Roker took to his Instagram to share the news and revealed that he was going to be developing something for the screen.

Roker’s post featured the “exciting” news where the first picture highlighted Roker in professional attire alongside a picture of Marisa Renee Lee at the diagonal opposite.

The image also pointed to a news article announcing a collaboration between the TV personality and the author for an on-camera project.

In the same post, there were quotes from Marisa discussing the experience of adapting her bestselling book, ‘Grief Is Love: Living with Loss’, into a film, and another quote from Roker, in which he praised the book.

Roker captioned the post, “Excited to finally share that Al Roker Entertainment has partnered with 'Grief Is Love: Living with Loss', best-selling author Marisa Renee Lee, to bring the book to screen!"

He continued in the caption, “The book, NOW available on paperback, is published by Legacy Lit, an imprint of Hachette Book Group that has worked with Roker in the past."

The caption added, "VP, Publisher @krishantrotman said, 'I’m so proud that two of my authors have collaborated on this project that will spark important dialogue about grief that I know will provide hope and change lives.'"

He concluded the post by writing, "Stay tuned here for updates on development as ARE and Lee collaborate on this heartfelt and transformative portrayal of the human capacity to heal and find joy in life after loss."
