The White Lotus star reveals concerning reason there's a delay on season three
The White Lotus star Tom Hollander has revealed that season three's script-writing is currently on pause due to the ongoing writers' strikes in Hollywood. While fans already have the details that the next adventure will be set in Asia, the final story hasn't been confirmed, as creator, Mike White, is concerned about getting thrown out of the Writers' Guild. "You wouldn't want to [be thrown out of the union], you'd be a scab", he told the News Agents podcast. "The impression I get is development is stopped, production is stopped." The new Superman and Lois Lane actors were accurately predicted 3 years ago
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have been cast as Superman and Lois Lane respectively, in the new Superman: Legacy beating six other actors to the iconic roles. The duo will play the DC Comic characters in James Gunn's new film taking over the mantle last played on screen by Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. On Twitter Gunn wrote: "They are not only both incredible actors, but also wonderful people." The role of Superman and Clark Kent will by Corenswet's first major lead part in a movie having previously appeared in Pearl and the HBO series We Own This City. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Meanwhile, Brosnahan has previously been seen in House of Cards and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. Despite the pair being relatively unknown to wider audiences their casting was amazingly predicted way back in December 2020 by one keen comic book fan. On December 1 2020, Kunal B wrote: "A #Superman reboot starring David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Let it be linked to Matt Reeves Batman franchise (not directly, just in the same universe)." The tweet has resurfaced following the news about Corenswet and Brosnahan and needless to say, people are impressed. "F**king impressive," one person wrote in response. Another added: "Bro seeing into the future." A third person asked him to: "now do James Bond." A fourth said: "You’re definitely a time traveler." No release date has been set for Superman: Legacy but it is scheduled to hit cinemas in the summer of 2025. Have your say in our news democracy. Tom Hanks' niece goes viral for 'greatest TV moment ever' on reality show
The niece of Tom Hanks has officially cemented her place in Hollywood for all the wrong reasons - namely, a reality TV show meltdown for the history books. Carly Reeves appeared on Claim To Fame, where she was outed in the first episode by another contestant who recognised the clue of a park bench. She didn't take it well, however, storming out of the studio screaming. “I didn't even get to do any challenges. I don’t deserve this. I should have more camera time. I should be here longer!”, she yelled, as the other contestants sat on in shock. Awkward. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter

Gary Neville makes surprise move to BBC show
Gary Neville is joining Dragons' Den. The former footballer and businessman is right back in the limelight after signing up to the programme as a guest dragon for the upcoming series. It’s a surprise, but then again should it be? He’s been speaking an awful lot of business mumbo jumbo recently, talking like someone addicted to the ‘grindset’ and describing his “mini-retirements” that the rest of us would call holidays. Neville has entered into a number of different ventures since returning from football in 2011. He co-owns Salford City football club, as well as a hotel and a hospitality company. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Fashion designer and entrepreneur Emma Grede will also join the series as a guest dragon, alongside regulars Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Sara Davies. Speaking about joining the programme, Neville said: “I am excited to join the Dragons, and to meet the entrepreneurs brave enough to face us in the Den. "I hope my personal journey shows that you can take the experiences you’ve had in one part of your career and use them to do something entirely different and make it a success." "Business is all about managing people and managing yourself and I’m looking forward to sharing my experience to help the entrepreneurs we’ll meet in the Den reach their potential,” the 48-year-old went on to say. Look out for Neville on the programme next year. It comes after Neville claimed weird things have been happening to him since he started criticising the Conservatives a couple of years ago, then led by Boris Johnson. The football pundit told The Guardian about all the things that happened to him during this period and even revealed that he had freedom of information requests put in against him. “While he was prime minister, I felt we were in real danger. All my life, I’ve been in teams where you look after one another. This lot don’t think that way. They’re in it for themselves and on the take,” he said. "It’s damaging our country, our integrity, our international standing. We’re a laughing stock. Johnson has got to be expelled from British politics for good. So do all his cronies who enabled him. 'Penis facials' remain Hollywood's most alarming beauty trend
It’s becoming increasingly clear that there’s nothing celebrities won’t do for beauty, especially when it comes to their skin From Kim Kardashian’s famous predilection for so-called “vampire facials” to Victoria Beckham’s enthusiasm for bird poo-infused face cream, society’s elite seem willing to go to any lengths to preserve their glowing complexions. However, Cate Blanchett’s preferred treatment must surely be the winner in the weirdness stakes. It is known simply as “the penis facial”. And no, this is not a misleading name, it really involves penises – more specifically, the foreskins of newborn Korean babies (you can’t make this stuff up). Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter In an interview with Vogue Australia back in 2018, Blanchett revealed how she first came across the eyebrow-raising regime with her friend, fellow actor Sandra Bullock. “Sandy [Bullock] and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the ‘penis facial,’” she told Vogue reporter Remy Rippon. “I don’t know what it is, or whether it’s just because it smells a bit like sperm — there’s some enzyme in it, so Sandy refers to it as the ‘penis facial'.” Her comments sparked a flurry of interest – and horror – in the procedure, which was later clarified by the beauty expert, Georgia Louise. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) she explained that the treatment’s technical name is an Epidermal Growth Factor facial – or EGF for short – and that no babies are harmed in the making of it. “The foreskin is collected during circumcision and the stem cells are then harvested and extracted through a centrifuge,” she told the website. “I am always very mindful to explain radical serums and potions that I carry in my back bar, so I always explain that EGF is derived from newborn baby foreskin, but cells were taken and from that, new cells are cloned from a laboratory,” she added. In a separate statement shared to her Instagram, she insisted that she only uses clone EFG cells that were “grown in a lab”, and that everything she uses is FDA approved. Apparently, the cells help to generate collagen and elastin, heal scar tissue and help treat pigmentation and sun damage. Anyone looking to emulate Blanchett and Bullock’s undeniable glow can now do so from the comfort of their own home: you can buy Hollywood EGF kits on the Georgia Louise website for a cool $415.00 (around £326). Inevitably, there’s no mention of the treatment’s NSFW nickname on the website but, let’s be honest, that’s how it will forever be known. Have your say in our news democracy.
