SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Tyler Christopher, the actor most recognized for his 'General Hospital' part that earned him an Emmy nomination, died at 50.
Maurice Benard, his co-star on 'GH', confirmed his passing on Instagram on Tuesday, October 31, as reported by TMZ.
Christopher's "best scene" from 'General Hospital' went viral on X (formerly Twitter) as heartbroken Internet users paid tribute to the late Emmy-nominated actor.
An X user shared a clip from 'GH' with the caption, "RIP tyler christopher. this is by far my fav scene from him." Several other online fans gave their condolences in the comment section of the tweet.

Several online fans flocked to the comment section to pay homage to the late actor, with one X user commenting, "One of Tyler Christopher's best scenes on General Hospital as Nicolas Cassadine."
A second fan of his commented, "I had forgotten this scene. Thank you for posting it. He was amazing. Soaps have had a lot of great actors in their time, GH included, but Tyler had a depth to him many actors dream of. The acting world is a little less bright without him & his immeasurable talent."
"I remember this scene vividly. He knocked it right out of the park," said a third one.

'General Hospital' was Tyler Christopher's 'first job'
Christopher once said, "General Hospital was my first acting job," during an interview with Digital Journal.
"My first day was a little scary because I was new and I didn’t really know what I was doing, and I had a lot of dialogue."
He shared at the time, "In my first day, I thought everyone would judge me and I would get fired but I got through it because I was prepared, and it ended up being great."
'General Hospital' executive producer Frank Valentini also honored Christopher on X.
Valentini wrote, "I am heartbroken over the news of Tyler Christopher’s passing. He was kind, an incredible actor and a dear friend, who was beloved by our #GH family and fans of Nikolas Cassadine."
The second and last tweet of the thread read, "On behalf of everyone at @GeneralHospital, our heartfelt sympathies go out to his loved ones during this difficult time."
On ABC's 'General Hospital', Christopher played Connor Bishop from 2004 to 2005 and Nikolas Cassadine from 1996 until 2016.
Christopher earned four nominations before winning the Daytime Emmy in 2016 for his portrayal of Nikolas.
Announcing the demise of Christopher, 'General Hospital' co-star Benard wrote on Instagram: "It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher. Tyler passed away this morning following a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment."
Christopher is survived by his two children with racing reporter Brienne Pedigo, a girl named Boheme born in 2015, and a son named Greyson James born in 2009.
