New angle shows what happened to Cardi B fan after being hit by rapper's microphone
New angle shows what happened to Cardi B fan after being hit by rapper's microphone
A fan who incurred the wrath of Cardi B will think twice before getting overexcited at a concert, new footage suggests. The woman was watching the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper perform in Las Vegas when she splashed her drink up at the star onstage. Cardi (real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus) responded by furiously hurling her microphone at the culprit, to the shock of everyone there. A clip of the incident swiftly went viral on social media, with even the ‘WAP’ icon herself proudly sharing it. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter However, a new video, showing what became of the offending fan, has left people voicing their sympathy for her. The recording shows the woman, still clutching her cup, instantly gushing: “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry,” right up at the 30-year-old star in the aftermath of the outburst. Cardi looks down on her – literally and figuratively – as security guards jump down into the crowd and the woman is escorted away. @typicalelliott Mistery solved. This is the most detailed video of what happened to Cardi B that made her threw the microphone at a fan during a concert in las vegas #cardib #microphone #news #ice #drink #fyp #ny #dominicana #drais #rap And whilst most commentators agree that the woman shouldn’t have thrown her drink up in the first place, others think her reaction shows that the whole thing was her accident. “She looks genuinely apologetic,” one TikTok user wrote. “What’s messed up is… what if she really didn’t mean to? Like what if she wasn’t thinking and just waved her hand forgetting the cup [was] lidless?” asked another. Other users pointed to a recording from the concert, taken just moments before when Cardi got splashed (on her body) as she crossed the stage. “Mmm that s**t feel good,” she declared, before bending over and adding: “Put that s**t in my p***y.” @typicalelliott Replying to @luvnosylla I guess the whole thing with Cardi B, thr drink and the mic was a huge misunderstanding after all #cardib #microphone #vegas #news #rap #nyc Many viewed this as an invitation for further drink sprinkling, and said the microphone-hurl victim may have just been trying to comply. But others pointed out that Cardi addressed the issue after she was passed a new mic. “I said splash my p***y not my face, b***h,” she announced, to the cheers of her adoring supporters. iShowSpeed provides health update after being hospitalised with cluster headache
YouTuber iShowSpeed has provided an update on his health after being hospitalised with a cluster headache. The internet personality shared on Sunday (30 July) that he was in an ambulance on his way to hospital. In a video, he told fans that he was unable to open his eyes and was experiencing a “deadly” headache. In the early hours of Monday, the 18-year-old, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., posted an update on his health and asked his fans to pray for him. Speed tweeted a picture of himself in which he appeared to be laying in a hospital bed with monitors attached to his chest. His left eye looked swollen shut and he had what appeared to be a cooling pad across his forehead. Alongside the image, he wrote: “Please pray for me I beg of y’all I need it.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter In the comments, many fans posted their well-wishes and told Speed to get well soon. Others were also shocked by how rapidly his health had deteriorated due to the cluster headache after the influencer had posted pictures of himself with footballer Neymar Jr. just days prior. What is a cluster headache? According to the NHS, cluster headaches are “excruciating attacks of pain in one side of the head, often felt around the eye”. They can come on quickly with no warning and cause severe pain that can feel like a sharp burning or piercing sensation on one side. Anyone can get them, though they are typically more common in men in their 30s and 40s. Symptoms can include severe pain around the eye, swelling of the eye/eyelid, watery eye, and a smaller pupil on the affected side. How are they treated? The NHS states that cluster headaches are not life-threatening but can cause severe pain that can affect a person’s life quality. Treatments for cluster headaches include using Sumatriptan – a medicine to treat migraines. This can be administered in a nasal spray or injections. In addition, oxygen treatment (breathing in 100 per cent oxygen through a mask) can also help. Have your say in our news democracy. Expert reveals the scientific reason why Margot Robbie is so attractive
Margot Robbie played Barbie in the recent live-action movie, with fans praising the casting choice - including a facial aesthetics expert who detailed why this is. On TikTok, the account, Qoves Studio a Sydney-based company founded by 23-year-old Shafee Hassan, can analyse how attractive you are through an AI beauty assessment tool. In the video, different aspects of Robbie's face are discussed and then as a whole as to how her features perfected the Mattel doll. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "One thing is that she doesn't have the augmented cheek look that is becoming increasingly popular," with Bella Hadid shown as an example of bucking the trend with this look. While Robbie's face is described as "defined," the narrator notes this is not to the extent some celebrities have taken with the buccal fat removal becoming popular. The 33-year-old's eyes are described as being "youthful" and "proportionate," as they are "highly feminine in their morphology (the shape) with upturned eyes (high palpebral axis) and upturned eyebrows." @qovesstudio What Makes Margot Robbie So Attractive? #margotrobbie #margothebeardie Meanwhile, it's also noted how Robbie has an angular jawline that "clashes well" with her feminine features. "To put it simply, she gets the universally recognised benefits of a strong jawline without compromising on her overall facial dimorphism or the femininity of the face and making her look overtly masculine," the narrator explained. The Aussie then received a compliment for her perfect nasal contour with a tip that is not neither overly bulbous, droopy or fleshy," and also for her "plump yet proportionate lips." Ice Spice sparks backlash for having 'twerking 16-year-old' in her latest video
Ice Spice has sparked a backlash over her new music video for the single 'Deli' as it features a 16-year-old TikTok twerking. The song is from the 23-year-old's deluxe version of her debut album Like...? and the music video has a fitting location - inside a bodega where the rapper can be seen with bundles of dollar bills. In the video, Ice Spice can also be seen twerking alongside her group, but one underage member, in particular, has caused upset. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter TikTok star Aya Tanjali who is 16 years old with over 6.6m followers, starred in the video as she twerked on top of a counter, much to the shock of viewers who took to social media to slam Tanjali's inclusion. One person said: "There’s no way no one told her having a minor twerking in your music video is a terrible idea." "Having a 16-year-old twerking in your video is just nasty," another person wrote. Someone else added: "Putting a sixteen-year-old girl twerking on her hands and knees in a music video was definitely a choice." "Oh that community note…," a fourth person commented. On Twitter, Ice Spice shared a clip of the music video which included Tanjai but the social media platform has added one of its “Community Notes," where it mentioned the young TikToker. "Viewers should be warned this video features a minor dancing in a sexually provocative manner, which may violate state and federal laws," it read. "One of the dancers in this video is 16 years old, a fact likely known to Ice Spice, as the two follow one another on Instagram." Indy100 has reached out to Ice Spice's representatives for comment. Meghan Markle has just demolished a Netflix streaming record
Meghan Markle has just demolished a Netflix streaming record
Meghan Markle has just broken an unlikely Netflix record and no, it's not because people have been watching the docuseries about her and Prince Harry again. Before she was a member of the Royal Family, Markle was an actor on the hit legal show Suits which ran on the USA Network from 2011 to 2019, with Markle appearing in 108 of the 134 episodes of the show, where she played paralegal Rachel Zane. Despite the show ending nearly four years ago, it has experienced a sudden resurgence in popularity thanks to it now being available in its entirety on Netflix. In fact, the show has become so popular on the platform that it has smashed the viewing records for an acquired show having been streamed for more than 3.1 billion minutes in a week. The previous show to hold this record was Manifest which had managed just 2.5 billion minutes in a week. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Suits was added to Netflix on June 17th, making it the first time ever the show has been available on there but it has previously been available in other countries including the United Kingdom. According to Nielsen's streaming data, this marks a 36 percent increase in viewership from the previous week. Deadline adds that Nielsen believes that this will only increase as 75 per cent of those viewing figures are from just the first three seasons of the nine season show. Markle left the show in 2017 following her engagement to Prince Harry. In a statement, the future Duchess of Sussex said: "From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement. "Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best." Have your say in our news democracy. Did a Travis Scott fan sell his house for a concert ticket?
A Travis Scott superfan fooled the internet by convincing people he'd sold his house to attend the rapper's concert in Egypt. It all started when TikTok user @thatlookslikecj shared a clip standing next to a house and a 'sold' sign. "I actually did it," he wrote alongside the footage that racked up 5.1 million views. The comments were flooded with fellow fans, with one writing, "I lowkey might have to sell my kidney for this." Another added, "excellent economic decisions," while a third chimed in: "This deserves more fame." "If you’re that desperate to sell your own home for Travis Scott you deserve whatever comes to you," one person chimed in. Despite social media believing the move, it turned out the story was completely made up and the TikToker is known for his editing. Live Nation, the promoters for the gig, said in a statement: "We regret to inform you that the UTOPIA show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled. "Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired." They reassured fans that they would be refunded for their tickets and apologised for the "inconvenience."
